EntrepeNinja Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Power loop says "At the start of a duel, this model may use the printed numerical DF, WP, CA, SH, or ML (ignoring suits) from another friendly model with Power Lopp instead of it's own." So my question would be- if I power loop in something with a high casting, and use it's printed casting... Does that mean I get to use his casting with no suits at all? Or do I get to use his casting with my inherent suit? 1 Quote
Darguth Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Power loop says "At the start of a duel, this model may use the printed numerical DF, WP, CA, SH, or ML (ignoring suits) from another friendly model with Power Lopp instead of it's own." So my question would be- if I power loop in something with a high casting, and use it's printed casting... Does that mean I get to use his casting with no suits at all? Or do I get to use his casting with my inherent suit? Given a plain text reading I would say you would have no suits at all. The "instead of its own" clause, to me, reads as a wholesale replacement. Then, the replacement value loses its printed suits. Quote
EntrepeNinja Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 See, but the fact that it specifies "Printed numerical value", not just "use their casting" is what causes me to pause. Quote
Godgolden Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 You use the printed numerical value, say nothing about suits being different, you keep to suit. Quote
Ausplosions Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 I would agree you keep your suit. A suit is not numerical. Quote
SoulGambit Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I read Ca as "#:suit" not "#" + ":suit." The wording of counterspell, IIRC (no cards in front of me) supports this. Quote
Tuttleboy Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I've been wondering the same thing and it seems to me that you take the number and keep any suit you have printed. Quote
Tuttleboy Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I'm going to post this question in the rules section. I think it's ambiguous enough that starting a debate over there will get us a clarification and possible change to wording, if needed before printing. Quote
CreepingDeath Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 You keep the suit you have, you just cant add another suit is how I read it Quote
