Stargazer
Hi Guys (and Girls), I'm looking to take my first real foray into using water effects, but obviously don't want to mess up any models I use it on! Any recommendations on products or techniques to use. Pics of your examples would be even better!! I'd rather not use anything too toxic if possible and I'm only using it on a regular gaming base so pouring into a mould etc isn't really what I'm looking for (yet anyway!). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Big Ned
Woodland scenics do a good one. And GWs isn't bad either (if a little overpriced) The trick with the one part resin is to use multiple thin layers. Pouring/brushing it on too thick results in a pitted/bobbly surface or the resin not curing properly. Also make sure you apply the water effects AFTER and varnishing/sealing you plan to do with the model.

96p
Ziterdes makes the best. I tested several and this one was the only satisfying version.
