Mercenaries and Gremlins

Hi all,

I played in the Isle of Faux tournament in Kent, UK this month and saw Arcanists and Neverborn players using mercenaries such as Convict Gunslinger.

Do any gremlin players take mercenaries? And in what lists?

I have been looking at a list with Hans and Rami for double sniper action, and also with Francois, Orphelia and a Convict Gunslinger for some serious damage output.

Mercenaries can work with Gremlin's but generally speaking staying in faction provides more bang for the buck (unless there is something specific that cant be found such as Terrifying).

For example your double sniper list is a bit hampered by requirement for LOS where as dropping Hans for a Pigapult and Lenny's upgrade will cost the same but provide a bit more utility and add summoning potential. The inclusion of the Convict Gunslinger definitely provides some damage out put but at the cost of a Slop Hauler and Bayou Gremlin or another Young Lacroix. Given how the Gremlin high damage output typically also causes them damage having a dedicated healer is almost a must. Francois with Quality Mash Liquor can do some of it but that ties up one of your damage dealers for the turn.

Though I think the list will be fun, damage output is much less important in this edition. Using AP to damage an opponent is less AP for achieving other objectives.
