D_acolyte
I am a seasoned Arcanist which played Neverborn sometimes, recently got a Lynch crew. I was thinking of trying out the 10 Thunder instead of going back to Pandora and Dreamer (yes I am one of those lol). I was wondering how Mei Feng is as a 10 Thunder given what she looses access some nice upgrades and models when she changes faction? What 10 Thunder models that she gains access to are good? Is there any thing that beats Kang with People's Challenge with Imbued Protection?

Falconrider
Mei Feng as a 10T was my 1st M2E master. The main difference between the factions is access to some very good shooting in the form of Fuhatsu, Samurai, Dawn Serpent & 10T Archers and with wave 2 Sidir, Ansatsu Sha, Pathfinders and even the Wastrels are good shots. Fuhatsu is a real bastion to work around, especially when buffed to Df6 by metal gamin and also a good model to screen 10T archers. Metal gamin buffing gunslingers works well too though that's not restricted to 10T. Vent steam is a boon giving mobile cover to the shooters. Recalled training and Misdirection are worth the investment. Charging Mei into a pack with positive flips to everything and then redirecting the retaliation back onto them. Usually if i have the SS recalled training is given to 3 models. Not sure what else to add except 10T have access to some very solid models and Mei works well with almost any crew. The Illuminated, Samurai, & Dawn Serpent come to mind as models i've used with her. I'm looking forward to trying Toshiro with her and handing out positive flips and focus to her minions. MasterDisaster
I've played against her as both 10T and Arcanist and she seems to synergizes more with the Arcanist stuff (mainly due to upgrades) but this is by no means a detriment to her abilities as a 10T. She wrecks face and it's really just Hiring and Faction Upgrade options.

chris_havoc
As FalconRider mentioned you get to use Misdirection which I think is one of the most awesome defensive upgrades in the game especially for a master like Mei who thrives in being engaged with multiple models at a time. Our shop in South Africa's distributor has been messing us around a bit so we don't have the main rulebook or 10T Arsenal box yet but if the Dawn Serpent has remained the same he is a great way of dishing out burning at a distance which the Emberling and Rail Workers play off of very well. There is also the Monk of the High river in the current beta who is also very good at getting burning out there with his Flurry-Charge ability. He also has a low damage profile and auto-triggers burning so is a pretty good way to build up burning on the Rail Golem. ---------- Post added at 11:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:08 AM ---------- Also the Kamaitchi generic totem offers a pretty great damage-free way to give the Rail Golem Burning if your hand is not all that.
