On the way to (or from - can't remember which), @OldManMyke and I had a discussion about some ideas we had for basing Misaki. He had a great idea about having her perched on some bamboo. Bloody good idea, I thought and promptly stole it.

Ordered some railway scenery type bamboo from China and went to work.....

Hoping to be able to maintain the theme through the crew

I really like this idea, and the modelling material you used looks excellent. Misaki just ruins it for me. She looks silly as it is in her regular pose, and turning the model a bit so she is between two bamboo stalks still makes her look a bit....off. But don't let that dissuade you, you are onto something cool here and I am looking forwards to seeing some more!

The full crew has been painted. I found the link to his blog while stalking him for inspiration. http://doublenegativeflip.blogspot.co.uk and the post is from this spring, I think around January. It's awesome!

I also found an answer to my own question, this looks like the bamboo he used: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Approx-100Pcs-Plastic-Model-Bamboo/dp/B00IR38ZIG. Got a tip on Facebook.

Cheap and huge amounts!
