NPC - New Paltz Convention! (Demos and a Tournament - SUNY New Paltz, 11-9 to 11-10)

Hello friends!

My colleague HalflingSpy and I are organizing Malifaux events at the New Paltz Convention (NPC for short) at the SUNY New Paltz Student Union Building, hosted from Saturday, November 9th to Sunday, November 10th!

We will be offering demos and open play on both days, from 12PM-5PM. This is a change from the planned schedule.

Fees to enter the convention are as such:

$4 for one day

$6 for both days

half price for SUNY New Paltz students with ID

I am at SUNY Plattsburgh, but I may come up for a day if you would be running demos and such. I am planning on picking up a Lady J crew until the new Gremlins come out, but wanted to demo the game first.

I have to talk to my wife, but we will be in Kingston that weekend, so I might be able to convince her to let me out for the tournament.

We will be running Open Demos on Saturday, from 12-5. Unfortunately I do not have Lady J, but I'm more than happy to showcase most any other master I have (Pandora, Seamus, Lynch, Mei Feng, Misaki).

We will be making use of the second edition. As for Wave 2 stuff, I am fairly certain that we will not be making use of the beta rules (I say "fairly certain" only because I am not organizing the tournament - that is HalflingSpy's territory - however I have a good feeling we won't use Wave 2). I hope that helps you with crew selection!

Hey all! A quick update.

There will, unfortunately, not be a Tournament of the Hat event on Sunday. In its stead we shall be having open play both days. This *should likely* involve betatesting, if people want to do that. There will also be demos during this time.

The price is still $4 for one of the days or $6 for both.

We can't wait to see players there! We are sorry for the last minute plan-change, but its a college convention, and the scheduling switched in the last month before we could fix it.

We are hoping to see more players about, and as always, check us out at Hudson Valley Malifaux if you live anywhere near mid-New York!
