SBrunner
Howdy all, first time poster. Playing my first game this week I was hoping for some suggestions. Ausplosions
I'd drop Bete and take 2x Belles. Of course it depends on your scheme, but you'll be starting the game with only two models on the board. (3 if you deploy Bete). M2E is balanced for 50ss Games, why not make a list for that points level?

Should I still begin with two rotten Belles instead? Just anxious to try some models out.
Ausplosions
Yeah, Apparently I can't count today. 5 models (with Bete in play at deployment) is a good number for that points bracket. I'd still ditch her though. Very Situational. You need to hold a 10+ to keep her alive. That card could be better used elswhere by Nico for some Summons. What about the upgrades I have chosen? And any schemes you suggest? Cheers
Ausplosions
Well you can't just choose any scheme now. It comes from a pool, and you choose from that. Which will also dictate what models you hire, really.

All I know about the demo is the Strategy is going to be based on some Halloween encounters issued by Wyrd in the past. So I should probably have at least a couple crew contingencies planned out? (Thanks for letting me bend your ear off)

CrouchingMoose
I like the 2nd list of the last 2 you posted the best. The only change I would make is drop Love thy Master on Mortimer. Something to remember is just because you can take upgrades on models doesn't mean you necessarily need to take any, let alone as many as possible. All the powers and minis look so cool, I just want to use all of them! So do you guys go into a game with maybe a couple of crews mapped about with the plan of tweaking them dependent upon the strategy/schemes? Clement
Personally not, there's just too many variables for me to keep track of that kind of thing in my head. For most casual games I tend to come at it from a "what master do I feel like tonight" place. Then try and build the crew to deal with whatever crazy set of schemes and strategy I come up against. admittedly sometimes it is less then ideal, but as long as I'm having fun I'm good. SBrunner
So I played my first three games of Malifaux. This the crew I ended up using: 5ss Pool (33+3) Nicodem, The Undertaker -- 3 Cache Maniacal Laugh [1ss] Reaper Grin [1ss] Totems: Grave Spirit [3ss] Henchmen: Mortimer, The Gravedigger [9ss] My Favorite Shovel [2ss] Minions: Punk Zombie [7ss] 2x Rotten Belles [10ss] Summons: 3x Mindless Zombies [s/2ss] Rotten Belle [5ss] Flesh Construct [6ss] 2x Punk Zombie [7ss] Heck of a lot of fun, I faced Zoaraida, Lady Justice and Tara in some Halloween themed games. I did not do well, but I am getting a good handle on the game and love the card mechanic. I definitely forgot to use a lot of powers and abilities and also stuff like strategies and schemes. But I did kill some stuff. I should have ditched Reaper Grin for an extra ss, but Nicodem performed well. I got use out of all his spells otherwise. Managed to get out a Flesh Construct in round two of one of the games...nasty! It would have eaten a master if it were only a little shorter. Mindless Zombies were great for extra actions and miring up opponents. The Rotten belles were great in controlling movement with undress, lure and embrace. The Punk Zombie was great in melee. Mortimer dug up a lot of bones and was good in melee when necessary. My Favourite Shovel was a great upgrade.
