SteampunkCake
Hey all, with none of my masters playable in 2.0, the one I was going to start for 2.0 got pushed back ( sad leveticus ='[ ), anyone know when the Ramos crew will be released? and what it will contain? this is my guess: Ramos brass arachnid Howard Langston 2 steamPUNK arachnid swarms/6 spiders electric creation hoping it's this side of christmas =/
RagingRodian
You don't have to wait, you can buy all of that now and the models look really cool.
Mako
We have a rough release list that runs up until November, so I'd say that the plastic Ramos crew will be out after christmas (given they'd be released near the end of december if they were in that month). You can indeed get the old ones at the moment in metal, but if you'd prefer to wait and see what the new ones look like then my guess (wild guess with no real info) is early next year. Not sure what it will contain, but you might not be too far off with that guess. Master, totem, 3 minions and a big piece (hench, enforcer possibly) is how it seems to work out for the boxes. SteampunkCake
well the current box is 2 swarms, ramos and steamborg. I don't want to get the metal box set right now because I've got a Miss step on the way. The spiders from the box are a nightmare, so i've heard, because the legs are individual. that and it's £30 or so for 3 models that i'll need. I could buy them individually, but I'm trying to get rid of old stuff for them, but no body wants to trade.
IronHead
I would say Injun Joss as opposed to Langston. Dunno why. I see the box being: Ramos Brass Arachnid. Injun Joss 3 Spiders
Fenton Crack
I would say Injun Joss as opposed to Langston. Dunno why. I see the box being: Ramos Brass Arachnid. Injun Joss 3 Spiders I would agree with this assessment, as the box sets seem to be leaning towards a Henchman and Totem in each box, and the demand for Hank may be high enough for use in other crews that they will likely have him on a separate box like the Rail Golem. SpiralngCadavr
Could go either way- Rasputina's box got a giant model but in part that was because it got a bunch of tiny models (similar to Ramos's), but Lilith's was also one medium with a bunch of smalls. I think either are about equally possible
Fenton Crack
I think maybe the reason Raspy came with the giant Ice Golem and no henchman might just be the fact that there was no Wave 1 henchman to include for Raspy even if they wanted to, and Lilith came with the medium instead of a Large Nephilim specifically because Barbaros is her henchman. I also suspect, based off the new art, Joss will be pretty big despite being a 30 mm model. But, of course, my conjecture is worth no more than anyone else's. It will certainly be interesting to see either way, but id guess most are hoping for Joss to be included instead of Hank because so many people already have a plastic Miss Step. Dracomax
My guess is that Ramos will come with 6 spiders(enough for 3 spiders and one swarm) the Brass arachnid, and Joss. I'd guess that Howard and The EC will be sold seperately, but wouldn't be surprised to see plastic EC come in packs of 2, or come as a combo with 3 spiders. At SS cost, a box containing Joss, the arachnid, 6 spiders and Ramos/Joss upgrades will come to a maximum of 50SS, with a cache of 3, which is actually a bit high for a box set, but anything less would have a hard time working. To be fair, you wouldn't run them all, probably hiring only 3 Spiders out of the box, which would cut 12 SS off the initial list altogether. still, SS wise, it's a bit more expensive box compared to 41 Max from the Viks. Math to show my work: Open Spoiler Ramos highest cost upgrades are 2 ea. [3*2=6] + Joss [10] + Joss upgrade[1] +B.E.T.1 +6 spiders[6 * 4=24] + Brass Arachnid 4= 4+24+10+6+2=50 I don't see them using Howard instead of Joss for SS price alone(Howard costs more than Joss), but also because Joss adds more variability to the box than Howard, not only being a henchman, but also being the first real tank/tarpit most Ramos crews will pick up, and having a damage spread that is one of the better ones in the game. r4st4f4n
o.O I don't understand why you consider the individual cost of the arachnids: 2 swarms are 2x8ss models, 16ss is comparable to the other boxes Minions partition. Same criterion of the old box. Don't know if plastic will double their size, but for now the spiders are still the tiniest bits of the game, they are also only sold as Swarm... Dracomax
I consider them because A) it's unlikely you will hire a swarm, as they work better as summons off of spider trios later on, and I was computing maximum cost. Yes, it's cheaper to buy 1 swarm than 3 spiders, but when you consider what is actually in the box, and can be played with, you need to compute maximum vs. minimums. Wyrd generally keeps the numbers pretty even. We do know that Ramos was SS heavy even in box in M1E, but we can't assume he will be in M2E also. ---------- Post added at 12:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:38 PM ---------- it's also untrue they are only sold as a swarm. they come in swarm numbers, yes, but they come with individual bases and cards, as well as the swarm card and base. They can be either 3 4 SS models or 1 8SS model. they must be considered both ways.
