Mathyeu
Hi ! I'm new, I'm french (sorry) but I come with a 6pack ! Here come the Children of December release during the GenCon. I don't think you saw many of them painted already (I found none). You can see better pictures here on my blog. Hope you enjoy :1_Happy_Puppet1:
Big Ned
What an excellent crew! Your painting is very clean and smoothly blended. I love your colour choice, you've managed to use bold colours without being garish. Very well done. p.s. Raspy's sealskin coat... wow
ttsgosadow
Very very beautiful! Agree that Rasputina especially looks great.
dgraz
Yeah, wow! Do you guys have no life over there in Europe? Just spend time honing your painting skills? Most of the best painters I see that post stuff are all from over there. Seriously? Something in the water or what? Aside from how smooth everything looks, I really like the minimalist basing.....it's just enough to show the winter theme without being obtrusive....it simply accents the model...allowing the model to really be the star of the show. craftysteve
Wow! Great work!! Those colors really pop! What colors and techniques did you use?

Viruk
Very nice work on these, I really like how blue turned out on the Golem and gremlins. Raspy and Wendigo look great too.

Bruglyother
This is gorgeous work, and I am Jealous. Do you guys have no life over there in Europe? Just spend time honing your painting skills? Most of the best painters I see that post stuff are all from over there. Seriously? Something in the water or what? It's because Europe knows the arts are important unlike the US education system. (Note, it's the politicians, not the teachers.)
Mike3838
Very very nice work! I can see from your blog that you painted (a couple of years ago) the original metal version of the crew. How did you find this one in comparison? It looks to me that your painting has gotten even better over the last couple of years, and it was very impressive to start with!
dgraz
T It's because Europe knows the arts are important unlike the US education system. (Note, it's the politicians, not the teachers.) Don't get me started on what the US politicians are doing to this country. I'm educated just enough to work but not smart enough to question. nilus
Do you do commission work? Those are amazing!
Wings
Lovely! I really like the muted look to them.
Mathyeu
Thank you guys, I didn't expect to have so many replies ! @craftysteve : I use many custom mix and inking so it's difficult to explain, but my technics are very common ! For the colours, long story short, ice was paint with enchanted blue (with a little bit of turquoise) and cloth with calthan brown and graveyard earth for the most part. @Mike3838 : The old crew was a commission work so I don't have them anymore for comparison. But sure the new one is far more detailed and cool ! @nilus : So yes I do commission work. That perhaps why I have time to exercise my painting skills ! And to be clear : in Europe we don't have miniature painting class at school ! Edited September 19, 2013 by Mathyeu
Bruglyother
No, but you do have the arts in general, which is gradually being removed from US schools.
CRC
This is fantastic work. I may well point people at these, because those pictures are excellent learning aids on how and where to highlight/shade. Also, the palette choice really brings them together, while not neglecting any parts of the models.
theJudge
stunning, just stunning.
