nagash13
I wanted to make bases that looked like plank flooring of the hut, like on the board. these are another model companies bases which are slightly larger, 25mm, and the wood is cut up coffee stirring sticks glued down and then coated with minwax antique walnut polyurethane wood varnish. nagash13
they are games workshop 25mm round bases. the puppet wars bases are small to fit the hexagons on the smaller original board. the unstitched board and hexagons are bigger. I had tons of the 25mm bases lying around, so i used them to give me a little more space to work with. the light color of the bases allows me to do the darker paint schemes on puppets without the model feeling too dark to see anything. the bigger bases help this effect work better, and allow for an extra plank so people can see that its supposed to be hardwood flooring easier.
