Hi underdog,

Congrats on your new purchase! Hoffman is very cool, and the Guardian has great synergy with other crews.

Here are some sites I found - they don't have the Hoff models, but they should be helpful.

http://www.blackmoor.ca/articlesnmm.htm - a very general site. What's valuable here are the pictures - they show in impeccable detail where to highlight for certain shades of NMM. Much easier to copy this than to study light sourcing.

http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=10116.0 - a better explanation that combines color theory / gradient 3D images with a helpful guide showing you where light falls.

Alternatively, I have found that using GW Boltgun Metal + GW Devlan Mud and Ogryn Flesh, or GW Boltgun Metal and Scorched Brown + Devlan Mud and Ogryn Flesh produce nice, toned down metal effects which eliminate the tacky shine of metal paints and naturally create light in the correct places without all the tricky color theory.

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.

Cheers storm lord ive checked out the black moor site before but the empires site is excellent. Its the first site ive seen that does a step by step for non reaper paints lol which i havnt been able to find a retailer for here so i use vallejo.

Will keep you updated with my progress once i start. Thanks again :)
