Huang Da Wei Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Does anyone know where I can get a cutter that will do 30 and 50mm circles? I have printed off the markers/tokens froms Rattys page on some lovely high end paper and want to cut them out and stick onto mdf. I just need to get perfect circles from the paper. Quote
adary Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Olfa makes some great circle cutters with variable radius: http://www.olfa.com/CircleCutters.aspx Here is a UK web address where you can order one http://www.rapidsupplies.co.uk/olfa-compass-cutter---cmp-1-31-p.asp (pretty sure you can get them in a lot of different places). Huang Da Wei Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks, I am hoping to find something like a hole punch if they exist Quote
brib4169 Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 You could always try a hole saw. Glue the paper to the mdf. Then cut the whole thing Quote
bobzilla Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks, I am hoping to find something like a hole punch if they exist I've looked everywhere for that sort of thing. The closest I could find was a 20mm punch. Anything bigger meant buying a die cutter and all the dies were US made and so imperial sized and didn't match up with the 30,40 and 50mm that I wanted. Huang Da Wei Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 I am off to China next month for business trip, if I find something like that I will bring extra ones home. I buy my 30mm felt rings to put on the base of my models, they must have some sort of cutter. Quote
adary Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 There are punches in pretty much any size. You just need a wooden block and a hammer to use them They tend to be on the expensive side though http://www.amazon.com/C-S-Osborne-Punch-Fully-Tempered-Cutting/dp/B000RELQN4 http://www.thanettoolsupplies.co.uk/product/5376/priory-wad-punch-50mm-2in Quote
Huang Da Wei Posted January 19, 2013 Author Report Posted January 19, 2013 Nice idea but a bit heavy going for 240g paper Quote
adary Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 With a punch like those I linked you can glue the paper to card stock, and punch it out all together Quote
