After several games using Jakob Lynch as a Neverborn master and spending a fair bit of time looking at the new models from Storm of Shadows, I've decided to try my hand at writing a tactica, inspired by those written by Karn for Lilith and The Dreamer.

Since the end result is fairly large, I'll just attach the file here :

I wrote this while considering only the new Neverborn models. There are many other possibilities, some of which have already been discussed on this forum: this is merely a very "purist" look on Jakob Lynch.

Comments and other ideas are welcome of course.

I love this. I am really pleased that someone has finally written up a Lynch Tactica.

Something that I thought to add to mention (before reading the entire thing - I almost wrote too soon) was that The Illuminated are great for Feast or Famine, as well as Consume Brilliance, due to their Regen 1. Since you put that down under the Illuminated's description, I am pleased. However, if I may make a small suggestion, perhaps making slight addendum to that end under the Hungering Darkness's description might help reinforce that statement, for use in a bind. :)

Beyond that (obviously optional) suggestion, overall a fantastic read. Kudos!

Great stuff mate!

A quick note: On Hungering Darkness' (0)Consume Brilliance, you have friendly models choosing to fail without flipping- I do believe that you still have to flip and then chose to fail.

Awesome tactica tho, really gave me some more consideration on Lynch. Always seems to be a high priority target and I have a harder time keeping him around.

I have to second Da O&F Git in pointing out that you can in fact not cast Heed My Voice on friendly targets. This seems to be a really common thing to miss, dunno why, it's stated clear as daylight in the spell's description..

I took it in The discription that you don't flip any cards if you choose to fail, why else would they say "before any cards are flipped" if you had to flip otherwise?

Yes, due to the wording you should not flip if you decide to fail that.

In a spell resist, the only other time you can chose to fail automatically, you must flip first and then decide. But this is worded differently.

A very good write-up. Somewhat coloured by opinions on which I cannot agree (eg. saying two Beckoners are a must is not correct in all Strategies/Schemes; neither is the presence of an Illuminated, sry if this was an interpretation) but as a whole, a very good entry on Dark Debts.

I have struggled with my Lynch crew and this text will help. :)

How about adding stuff on the models from "Strange Bedfellows", ie. Candy, Kade, the Stitched and Iggy? Just to keep in the models that Jacob can add to the crew regardless of faction. Just a thought.
