Math Mathonwy Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 There were blogs, now there aren't. Are other people still seeing them? Did other people ever see them? Is there an announcement that I've missed? Did the content disappear forever or can it be accessed somehow? Am I going bonkers? Quote
grumhelden Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I think there was an issue with unsolicited advertorials (spam to you and me). I assume(and this is a guess), they are offline while they sort the issue out. Quote
Ratty Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Am I going bonkers? Over 1000 spam posts in under 6 hours, we are trying to work something out. Quote
Math Mathonwy Posted January 8, 2013 Author Report Posted January 8, 2013 Ah, makes sense. Thanks for the update! Quote
Huang Da Wei Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I like spam sandwiches, with a bit of mustard. Quote
DeusInnomen Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 Over 1000 spam posts in under 6 hours, we are trying to work something out. I just had to delete 4500 spam accounts and 14000 spam comments from a Drupal site hosted on the server I manage, so I feel your pain. Silly site admin forgetting to secure Drupal. Quote
Omenbringer Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Just out of curiousity is there any chance these will be restored again? I really enjoyed reading them. Quote
Nathan Caroland Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 Likely - though we'll probably end up having to completely clear them as they got fubared pretty good and until we find a fix for it, they are going to remain offline. It's on the list - just its a long list. Quote
Serigala Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 It struck me that a fair few folk (especially those without the benefit of years) might be unaware where the term SPAM came from. Quote
