How is it I am getting a "not a valid Vassal Module" error.

It also will not let me import it.

The most likely error is that the file got corrupted somehow, either when it was downloaded or last time you used it. My advice would be to download a fresh copy from the link ratty posted and save it somewhere different before trying to open it again.

Edit: also, check which vassal version you have - the module is designed for v3.2.2 as far as I recall.
