Alright, because the site doesn't have enough contests, at least according to those of us in the Off Topic Thread, we're gonna try something new just for fun. A speed painting contest! This isn't going to be anything complicated, honestly, but it should be interesting. So, some simple rules for what we're doing... 1. Rule of Wyrd- The miniature you paint must be selected from the Wyrd Miniatures range. Beyond that, do whatever you want! Keep in mind, you've not got a lot of time, so don't pick out anything too crazy. 2. Rule of Speed- You have one hour to paint the model. Yes, this is hard to enforce on a forum, so, here's how we're going to do it. A photo must be posted of the model primed and prepped (this part of the process should be done before beginning your hour for painting). After your hour of painting, you must post up another photo of the finished results within an hour and a half. If you can do a date/time stamp for your photos, that'd be great, otherwise it's all honor system! 3. The Contest!- Once everyone's put up their photos, we'll organize a thread together for people to vote on what they like best. Prize at the moment is all the bragging rights. *wink* Edit on the Prize: Demonn Agram has generously offered to award the first place winner a brand new Miss Terious! Winner just needs to contact him for shipping details. Thanks Demonn! 4. Signing Up!- If you're interested in joining in, just indicate so here in this thread! Please mention what you would like to paint, although this will in no way lock you into your choice. The contest will be the entire weekend of January 11th-13th, so people can have time to find that hour and so we can account for international time differences. Also, despite the name, this is not a competition specifically for the OTT regulars, feel free to sign up whether or not you've even heard of us. *grin* Yes- I spelled the thread name wrong.
