weirdpornmatt
Being a WHFB player you must be so relieved and happy to spend time on a smaller amount of models for the best results! Well done, and looking forward to seeing more! You have definitely hit the nail on the head here! I have thoroughly enjoyed the fact I can sit down and paint a single model how I like without the pressure of a 5+ of the same model. I'd like to know how well the adhesive works on the heather? Do, you use any additional adhesive? How long doe it last? Honestly I have never had any issues, as there tends to be so little area for 'wear and tear' on a base these don't tend to fall off. Sometimes however I do try attach one and you can tell its loose. A little dab of superglue sorts the problem.
weirdpornmatt
I did a little more painting last night and I finished Coppelius: Sweetmeats anyone?
Viruk
Seems to me that the pic doesn't do the paintjob justice. I know that photographing this guy is tricky as the focus tends to stay on the protruding tentacles... Really like the purple tail coat and the base looks very interesting too. Indeed; my set up is not the best as I can only really take pictures at night but its a hard model to pick up all the interesting areas. Nevertheless here is a better shot: Here is a re-shoot of my Doppelganger: And a group shot of the crew so far: Edited May 10, 2013 by weirdpornmatt
weirdpornmatt
I am still plugging away at the crew so here is a quick picture of my Insidious Madness: Next up will be Tuco swiftly followed by 3 Stitched.
ModollerMorgan
That is an awesome looking insidious Madness. Lovin the creepy pale flesh.
D1agoro
I bow to your painting talent. Amazing stuff. On the down side though your young neph are not tourney legal. They should be on 40mm bases instead of 30mm, (unless mine were a miss pack). Keep up the good work though
Ausplosions
Why are your bases of the GW style? That doesn't work in Mali faux...

Thanks for mentioning it; ill have to pop on eBay and get some ordered. Why are your bases of the GW style? That doesn't work in Mali faux... I am not exactly sure what you mean here? By 'style' do you mean how they look? I don't see how these don't fit Malifaux as I've gone for a woodland look which fits Lilith's fluff. If you think the bases are GW ones then you are mistaken ; these are all Malifaux bases and you can tell by the downward curve.

In the last picture in the first post. The one Lilith's is on is a 30mm Wyrd base. ---------- Post added at 06:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:00 PM ---------- Aaaaand. weirdpornmatt
Ah yes; I mount minis on GW based for painting as I paint the bases separately.
weirdpornmatt
Time for another update. This time we have: Tuco! Edited May 10, 2013 by weirdpornmatt
Viruk
I like the extreme highlights on his cloak and the base, once again , looks fantastic. Another great piece from you.
Evilbleachman
I can only second Viruk's statement. Well done!
weirdpornmatt
Why thank you very much; I think the highlights have come out strong on Tuco because of the dodgy lighting. I will endeavor to again take some better group shots. Yet another update, this time a stitched together: Edited May 10, 2013 by weirdpornmatt
adary
You definitely know how to properly highlight purple, but that stitched together is just perfect in my eyes. Keep up the good work and post us some more eye candy
Viruk
Stitched together made from human skin? Gross but once again, the paintjob is excellent.
weirdpornmatt
I have been a bit tied up recently but I am back with some progress; first up is my finished Lelu: The full crew so far: Terrain As mentioned before I have been working on some terrain for my new board. Here are some WIP's for my 'Cabin in the Woods': Finished Cabin: Here are some more WIP's for my terrain. Malifaux's Dreadstone Blight: Tiered Cliff and Tree: Also for those who have been asking about the bases her are some pictures that show how I build them: I have also started on another crew: Just waiting on magnets:

weirdpornmatt
Well I think its about time I updated this thread. Behold the results of my recent painting: Finished Lilitu and her twin Lelu: The Second Stitched: 3 Cheeky Alps A mature Nephilim Zoriada and her Voodoo Doll Bars Closed! A solo Collodi And finally my Bro-Hogan:
NIGHTHATER
Weirdportmatt, So I looked at your models and the reviews and heres what I think. You are a great painter and I really enjoyed your bases. The lines/parts on your models are great with little to no bleeding of paint on to unwanted areas. The issues I'm having with your models are the use of colors. Im a color hor and I love bold colors, most of your models don't have that. Like the madness, doppleganger, and the tots are solf gray with soft orange with small areas of other colors that are soft. Yet Bro-Hogan red and white really brings him to life, and Tuco's purples appears more bold. Nighthater Don't feel to bad I rarely have all good things to say
Wings
I like the particoloured Stitched. It's a really interesting look and makes it very distinctive.
