FAQ/Errata pages on Malifaux.com…

Keltheos

Question

Gather ‘round, fans.

Remember that promised FAQ site on the Malifaux Website? One of our New Year’s Resolutions? Well...you read the thread subject right...IT IS FINISHED!

Now, before you start madly clicking on the link we want to be sure you’re aware of a few things:

  1. Not every request on the open call for FAQ/Errata items will be found on the site. Some were covered as part of other entries, others we felt may not have warranted an entry. This isn’t a slight to your individual Darlings, but was instead a careful consideration of your questions/feedback and the overall metagame. This did mean there are a few reversals and updates to previous rulings on the pages.
  2. The Rules webpage directs you to one of three pages (and links to downloadable PDF versions of the pages):

    1. Specific model Errata/Clarifications
    2. Core rules Errata and lengthy Clarifications (Bury, Companion, expanded Damage Resolution Sequence)
    3. General rules questions and answers here (new players should definitely read here first)

[*]We’re locking this thread, but have opened a discussion thread for the FAQ site here: feel free to post to your heart’s content.

[*]When you do post in the open thread, don’t feel the need to quote that we’d said “x” about an item you now see changed in some way on the FAQ or model Errata page. We know what we said on the forums previously, but from this point forward these documents are the official word on the subject.

[*]We’re still listening, keep the questions coming.

[*]Never fear, Hamelin and Nekima will get their turn. We wanted this out first. ;)

[*]We’re happy with how the site turned out and it wouldn’t have been possible without your input and patience, thank you.

Well, what are you waiting for?

Model Clarifications

Some changes have been made to the Fixes.php here is a run down of the most major changes made. There has also been a bit of cleaning up of the text on the page.

Guardian

Update: - 'Stalwart' should say "(0) Stalwart: :aura2. Friendly models within the :aura gain Armor +2. The Guardian suffers 1 wound each time any of those models suffers 1 or more damage."

Ryle

Note: - Can't Connect

Hoffman may allow Ryle to ignore this Ability when within 6" of him, as Maintain Machines does not target Ryle.

Kirai, Avatar of Vengeance - reversal

Update: - 'Razor Sharp Fingernails' damage arc should be 3/4/6.

Shikome - reversal

Errata: - 'Single Minded' the wording in the book is correct. "Before the Initiative Flip on Turn 1, this model's Controller must nominate an enemy model in play as this model's Prey." This model does not select a Prey when summoned.

Colette

Note: - Blinding Flash Immediately after declaring Triggers, Swap Colette's position with a Showgirl. This Showgirl is now the target of the attack.

Myranda

Note: - When Myranda Transforms into a Shikome she does not select a Prey.

Lilith, Mother of Monsters

Note: - Lilith's 'Master of Malifaux' Ability allows her to perform melee attacks through walls.

Stitched Together

Note: - When you Gamble Your Life you may only Cheat when you would normally be able to. IE. You can't Cheat a :-fate flip.

Stitched Together - Reversal

Errata: - 'Does not Die' The Stitched Together counts as Killed for Strategy and Scheme purposes the first time Does Not Die comes into effect.

Ashes & Dust

Note: - 'Choose Your Fate' will only sacrifice a model if its Charge gets it close enough that it could perform a melee Strike.

Giant Mosquitos

Errata: - Larva: Sacrifice one friendly non-Mosquito model within 2”. Summon one Giant Mosquito. The summoned Giant Mosquito immediately suffers 3Wd.

Killjoy

Note: - Blood Price If Killjoy does not have an enemy model in melee range, it will Strike the nearest model in melee range instead of Charging, or Charge the nearest model if there are none in its melee range.

Leveticus

Errata: - 'Pariah' should say "This model may not connect a Totem".

Rusty Alyce

Note: - 'Something to Live For' allows you to draw an additional 2 cards in the Draw Phase, but you still need to discard down to your maximum hand size after drawing them.
