easternheretic Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 I haven't tried out the Dreamer yet so I can't share from experience. There's a wiki on Malifaux which you can read up on how to use him. Link below. http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/The+Dreamer Hope this helps. Cheers. Quote
Ozz Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 First thing would be to get some Daydreams, maybe a primordial magic as has been suggested, but personally i still dont see that being better than the daydreams, as they allow you to threaten a lot more of the board with chompy, and if you place them right it can make people avoid specific parts of the board, as if they kill them, the monsters start to appear:) But i would also agree, just read the wiki, and ask any questions that you get from that and give him a try, he has a few rules to learn but once you do he is tough to beat, even with the new erratas:) Quote
straggler Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Posted April 13, 2012 Thanks guys.I will check out the link. Quote
schristofersen Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Thanks guys.I will check out the link. With the errata update to the bury mechanic and the dreamer/daydreams/LCB the wiki has some serious updating needs. The "dreamer hop" is no longer as possible due to daydreams not being able to use frightening dream to unbury LCB in the backfield and calm dreams to turn him back into the dreamer. You'll want to read the post about the changes in the rules section for sure and keep it in mind when looking at the wiki. I would imagine the wiki will be updates as soon as people can (and has some changes already) but there are clearly sections that are being reworked. Quote
karn987 Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 Yeah the Wiki needs attention in a few places... its all about people with the knowledge and experience having the time to make the changes and updates. But for the Dreamers changes, I did write up a rather hefty walk-through of them and in there is a lot of good information for playing with the revised Dreamer. It's linked from the Dreamer's page but just to make it easier: http://pullmyfinger.wikispaces.com/DreamerErrataWalkthrough Quote
