Thechosenone Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Because they don't seem that serious at all? Exhaustion just specifies "One or more alps" which doesn't sound different from the original "one inch of this model" Cause that model is an alp. everything else is specifying one or more alps as opposed to this model. Again, 'this model' was an alp already? Smother seems most effected? Quote
letsallchant Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 instead of taking one damage for every alp, you just take one damage. and they are insignificant. Quote
Ozz Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Yea, 6 alps giving you slow gave 6 individual wounds, so even prevention flips wouldn't save masters ect, now it is just 1 wound for all the models. They have become insignifigant and so can not claim/hold objectives, and the range of their WP/slow thing has been reduced by 1" cant remember what the others were but the first one is the big one. Sarsnick Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Making them insignificant was a step in an odd direction. If they really had to be insignificant, then give them Guild Hound/Wicked Doll rules. Just would like to know why a Watcher (3SS), which has more movement and deck manipulation, is significant while the Alp is not. edit: Perhaps it's because Coppelius can make them, but same can be said with Wicked Dolls. Because the Watcher is made to grab objectives. The Alps were not. That's my argument, anyway. Quote

Lucidicide Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Factional balance, Guild needs all the help they can get. I have to disagree. Pretty much every demo game I've ever run leaves people with the impression that Guild are OP. Quote

Guild are on the lower tier of power in terms of figures and strengths. Neverborn losing a tarpit model that came en mass for cheap isn't much of a loss for a powerhouse master played by a large margin of malifaux players. Quote

When I'm not sarcastic I tend to be very wordy. Ask the missus. Side note: You coming down to my tournament in May? Quote
