odinsgrandson
Well, here are some more Puppet Wars minis that I've had the pleasure of painting. Man, Wyrd minis are terrific to paint.
ThePandaDirector
Wow.... I hate you so much right now =D I literally have my desk covered in unpainted PW miniatures and I'm staring at some of the best painted puppets I've ever seen. Marcus is particularly awesome. But I will say that perhaps the bases don't to the paintjob justice, but with minis like that I don't think anyone's gonna care =] Keep 'em coming! Mako
More lovely stuff from you! Especially that OSL on Marcus.

Well, I was hoping to inspire you to paint your puppets rather than just rage at me, but it is always good that people have an emotional reaction... Argivian
Excellent shading and OSL. Consider me inspired.
Guild Monkee
They look awesome, especially the lighting effect on Marcus and the glowing eyes on dead rider. Good to see some more puppet wars stuff too.
LORD of STUFF
Gotta love the source lighting. One of the best examples I've seen in a long ol' time.
odinsgrandson
Thanks. OSL is one of those techniques that is just a lot of fun to use. I've seen some painters get almost obsessed with it (and start lighting something random on almost every mini).
Jormi_Boced
Super sweet puppets!
Hugor
Wow, these came out really well. I like how dark they are. As others have said, Marcus is amazing. The worn metal on the guild hound is really great as well.
odinsgrandson
Thanks. I've really fallen in love with the way that worn metal recipe works. I tend to do most of my silver metals as some variation on that recipe. It is kind of a go to.
themurphyfella
Very nice. Trying to convince myself I can do OSL on Marcus justice
odinsgrandson
Very nice. Trying to convince myself I can do OSL on Marcus justice Well, you probably can do it just fine. The way to greatness is to do something you aren't totally sure you can pull off. Usually, you'll find that you can (and it takes way longer the first time you do it). And if you screw it up completely, the worst case scenario is a wash in pinesol, making you have to paint a beautiful mini a second time. themurphyfella
Yea I'm painting so slowly I'm not really loving the restart a miniature idea
odinsgrandson
Oh, I guess I can see that. Still, that's the worst case scenario. If you keep your paint layers thin, then the worst case is you decide it isn't working and have to paint back over some of the OSL lit areas.
