RebeccaJo Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I was playing against Jeremy and he took Kirai. We both had no experience with her, but a question came up between us. If the Ikiryo is on the table, can Kirai summon it again somewhere else? To set up the scenario, I had the Ikiryo in melee combat with a Friekorpsman on his side of the board. Kirai was on my side, but a good deal away from my deployment zone. His goal was to use Kirai to summon the Ikiryo again placing it near Kirai, thus on my side of the table, and then walk it to my deployment zone. Then using their shenanigans, he was going to either push or switch places with the Onyro just a little ways back and use that to "destroy the evidence." What I want to know if that would have been plausible. Could he have summoned the Ikiryo again even though it was already on the table?? Quote
Saint Norton Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 The problem with this plan is that Ikiryo is Unique and multiples of the same name are not allowed. My understanding is the newly summoned one could not be placed on the table. Quote

Sorry that was bad wording on my part... he wasn't trying to get a second one but if he could cast the spell again to replace her... Quote

Actually, (and i don't remember my train of thought here...) i was trying to cast the spell again to replace the one i had. not to have a second one... Llike i said, i don't remember what i was thinking... but i wondered if you could cast a summon again and simply replace the model, or if it just couldn't be cast... I lost either way. EDIT: Ninja'd by the girlriend... :* Quote
Fetid Strumpet Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 No, you can't summon to replace the old one. You could cast the spell again, but as soon as the New Ikiryo tries to enter the the game it would go "oh look im already here!" and pop fizzle away. You can however do this if something buries your Ikiryo. You can summon a new one, and when the old one tries to come back it will say "Oh look, I'm already here!" and pop fizzle away. Quote
