Whew! For a moment there I thought my wife was telling stories about me again! ;p

Cool idea. Since most models are normally at table height, it might have been cooler if it was climbing down....like coming down on top of someone's head. Just an idea. Either way, the use of the terrain-type element is really great. Can't wait to see some paint on it.

I did the climbing down with my steamborg, and the second LSPA will likely be climbing down as well. In this case, it seemed to work better going up.

And don't worry. I'd never share the stories your wife tells. *wink*

Ahhh....nice one!!

Just took at peek at your blog and I see what you're saying - and having this one different does make more sense then. I like the steam/smoke stuff you have going on there. What is that stuff?

Clump foliage. I use a wire armature, and super glue clump foliage on it real tight. Then I hit is with some watered down PVA to get the outer bits to harden. After that, it's just prime and paint like anything else.
