skyhawk Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 So I understand that mctavish is considered a pig for the purposes of stampede. I understand that he can not be targeted with swine dash actions, but my question is does he prevent pigs from stampeding if he is close enough? Quote
Charmant Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 No, it just means that they don't swine dash and attack him just like they don't go for other pigs. Pigs start stampeding when they start their activation more than 8" away from a model with the gremlin characteristic, which McTavish don't have. Quote
skyhawk Posted March 20, 2012 Author Report Posted March 20, 2012 word thats how ive played it since ive used mctavish. i just thought maybe since he is a "pig" and no pigs were already stampeading. so a better forward control modle fo a pig swarm would be a slop hauler or a bayou i guess. but then gremlins can be targeted by swine dashs Quote

His large base can assist with directing the Swine Dashes by blocking LOS to less desirable targets. His Wrangle Critter spell can be used to either finish off a model or initiate the Stampedes (by pulling a pig outside the range of a gremlin). His presence wont turn off the Stampede, which is really what you want Pigletss doing most of the time anyway. And best of all he is durable enough to actually stand at the front and do this. Quote
