Hi everyone, I have a question about Rusty Alice's spell "Burn Out" (obv ;-)

Can I use "Burn Out" on a Steampunk Arachnid Swarm to reactivate it and then as it's last action during this reactivation use scatter, and by doing so, since the model targeted by "Burn Out" is no longer on the table I won't have to reduce anyone's wounds to 1?

And secondly just to clarify when "Scatter" and "Swarm Together" say they can't be performed in the same turn that's the game turn isn't it, not an activation? so if I reactivate I can't do a swarm together and a scatter

Sorry if this has been asked before but i couldn't see it anywhere in the forums.

Thanks for your help

Cheers

does it work like that? so effects trasfer like... if you use burn out on A&D you get the core and dust storm at 1 Wd at the end of the turn... YIKES

also you'd mentioned being able to use a nurse with A&D would be awesome in a different thread... but uh.. not if the sacrifice effect transfers

The Spiders specifically say that effects on the models transfer when using the Scatter action, so it does work like that for Spiders.

A&D is a Place (not a Replace) and does not specify that effects transfer, so you're safe!

ah! awesome.

Still need to be sure to kill the A&D before the end step if you are using the nurse to avoid the whole sacrifice, but really... totally amazing.

I need to put a nurse on a base for tomorrow and play nico with A&D, a nurse, and... I dunno... some SPAs I guess.

Edit: hmm... this list may well qualify as a negative play experience for your opponant. You've been warned.

I dont think your going to get nearly as much mileage out of it as you think. The Nurse will almost never be able to keep up to A&D outside of the first turn and you really wont want to waste to many AP with A&D going back for more. In addition it is a risky maneuver. You will need to be sure that A&D is in a safe place because the break up is a must. Just today I my A&D got into a sticky situation where he was in the center of the board and down on AP. I ended up using contort to get out of there and dropping to one wound instead breaking apart vulnerable spot. I would rather have the option of breaking apart and not have it be required.
