I play him in a nicodem list; he is so worth it in that list.

With Nicadem ability to add +2 to CB and DF to all undead Ashes becomes amazing. The list I like to run at 35ss is

It runs like a levy list, but instead of levy, Nicodem bolsters your undead, paralyzes key models and uses any corpse counter he has to add to your ranks. A DA becomes amazing bolstered as well.

At 25ss I like to run

Runs about the same, I won a tournament at a convention with this list and it is quite effective, ashes is a newish model and other players don’t know how to deal with him and he can blind other players to what nicadem is doing, like making punk zombies.

But most levy players I talk to say that at 13ss he is not worth it in their lists, since Alice and other models cost so much and you want levy to have SS afterword.

I run it once at 35 points and fell into the trap of it + DE = win

My logic was the DE now doesn't suffer from it's losing a wd every time it does anything so I've got it for 6 points (as it still comes with 2 SPA inside like a kinder surprise egg)

Great idea - 25 stones says not so great.....by the time you give levi a minimal cach of 6 you have 4 points left, enough for say a canine remains.....and max cach

But yee gods was it overpriced IMHO - canny opponents can shut it down move around it and generally avoid it....and it's bubbles of doom. Drop a SS and I'd say it's OK....2 would probably be underpriced

I'd probably take it again but I'd have to run SS light (around 4) take rusty and the canine it and punks/SPAs and risk levi not always being able to get spells off and generally a little more risky in the SS

Rep it and see if people will let you.

When I play A&D with Leveticus, my opponents almost always say "dang that's powerful."

When I don't play the A&D, my opponents often say "I'm glad the A&D didn't hit the table."

After seeing my play the A&D, at least two people have purchased the model who previously considered it too expensive.

Played it in a 35 stone game yesterday with SPAs and it was pretty bonkers. Lady J killed it in a hit... It split out of her range...and then reformed as the next activation. Yeah... Crazy

Looking at it with Nico is just bonkers as it become 9cb with three attacks df 7 hard to wound 2

Speaking as a fellow Leveticus player... I won't tell :-P

I actually did it, too, my first game or two. And it was the most insanely broken thing ever since the model is placed and always gets full AP. As long as I was within 8" of a board edge with the Ashen Core, the A&D could go forever.
