EvilZeb
I really raised your hope there huh? xD My intention was to ask if there will be more Freikorpmodels in the future? I would love to see some punch-in-face awesomeness in Freikorpsarmor. Perhaps they could lend Taelor some armor?
BlueStar86
Oh yes, because Taelor needs to be immune to auras, pulses, blasts, and reduce all incoming damage by 1 or 2. Nevermind the fact that she is already incredibly difficult to deal with for a minion. That said: I don't know. Sorry. Fetid Strumpet
I'm certain there will be more Freikorps, many of the special forces still need to be fleshed out, *coughhorrorscough*. While they are doing that they will most likely increase existing forces by a little. Over the length of the game I'm not certain how many more Freikorps will be added however, but I'd expect them to keep growing slowly. EvilZeb
Todd I was obviously being super-sarcastic about Taelor :1_Happy_Puppet1: Thanks bluestar and Fetid Strumpet for answering! I'd like to have the option to do pure Freikorps. But without a melee meatstick I dont see that as an option. micahwc
There is a way to give Taelor armor, and I think make her immune to blasts as well. Take her with Raspy. Give her frozen heart and use Rasputinas ice armor spell on her.
BlueStar86
At least she costs an additional SS that way, that would be very frustrating to deal with.

Give her frozen heart and use Rasputinas ice armor spell on her. they could update her... make her a Master.... have her step in with the corps, and due to the unstable events in Malifaux, find herself quickly promoted in the ranks... then she'd have all the fun of the immunities AND use soul stone! BlueStar86
Her fluff basically makes her the ultimate drinking buddy, I don't think she's anywhere near serious enough to be a part of the Freikorps. Though it would be amusing to have someone with the powers of a master playing second fiddle to a henchman.
DoT
I think it's been suspected quite a few times that the next book is going to add models to the existing Special Forces, which I think would be a good way. Creating factions within the factions seems to be a nice way of adding diversity without damaging the overall feeling of the influential groups in Malifaux. That being said, I could think of a number of Freikorps Models. While I don't think that they are going to get more magic-heavy support (the librarian being described as a rather exceptional kind of Freikorps soldier) I could imagine something to buff the other Freikorps further, like a standard bearer (keeping in my mind that we don't want to get too gw-ish here). Some objective grabbers could come in handy, so that you don't need Von Schill to do all the running. Maybe without armor or with some jetpack-like augmented jump, giving them Leap or something like that. Aside from that - bigger guns? A Freikorps specialist with some kind of machinegun or gatling? A pioneer/sapper type of soldier which is able to set up traps or to place cover, much like Rasputinas pillars without the magic? Judging bei the Freikorps' style so far I don't expect to see an overgrown melee-beatstick. If they go for melee reinforcements it might be with even heavier armor for staying power...and a bigger melee weapon than the default hunting knife. A hunting sword? A hunting axe? Still, I don't expect too much of close combat for the 'korps. -DoT
Todd
Todd I was obviously being super-sarcastic about Taelor Don't care about that. Thread should have had a question mark instead of exclamation point. Otherwise, might not have wasted my time clicking on it. Maybe I was overly harsh, but I don't think so. This is what you posted: New Freikorp minis! "I really raised your hope there huh? xD My intention was to ask if there will be more Freikorpmodels in the future? I would love to see some punch-in-face awesomeness in Freikorpsarmor. Perhaps they could lend Taelor some armor?" This is what I perceived: Info/Pics New Friekorp Models! "Lol, Rick Rolled ya, aren't I cute! Since you're here, would anyone like to speculate on the possibility of Wyrd releasing new minis that they're obviously very likely to release. Blah, blah, blah, Taelor." You can maybe see why I was a little grumpy in my response? Really, you could have posted anything after that first sentence and it still would have annoyed the crap out of me. No hard feelings. EvilZeb
You are absoluteley right Todd. I did it with phun intentions. But I totally get your point. In the future I'll make sure to either a.) Do as you suggested, or b.) post a more serious topic. That being said, sorry for the inconvenience! It wont happen twice. Sniddy
...then people need to learn to hover and read the posters opening comments :-) On topic - I can see a few of the above mentioned mods The 'jump troops' or other lightly armed fast moving 'scouts' Some heavy weapons maybe - something along the lines of a grenade launcher- maybe a 2/4/5 armor piercing or 2/3B/3BB choice weapon ala gunsmiths to pick off hard nuts or blast open light infantry. Something more close combat orientated. MAYBE a medic, handing out hard to kill/die/wound and/or healing flips.
DoT
MAYBE a medic, handing out hard to kill/die/wound and/or healing flips. In terms of fluff I like this idea very much. I would be surprised if they got yet another healer though. -DoT
