Diving Attack Question

So my gf plays Lilith all the time and we've come across a situation that has yet to be resolved. If there's a ruling on this, feel free to post the link

So here's the question:

"(2) Diving Attack: This model Charges an enemy model ignoring LoS., terrain and intervening models. If the Charge fails, end this model's activation."

Can the Mature Nephilim use it's Melee Expert AP to pay for the cost of Diving Attack?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

You can only ever use melee expert to make a strike attack. So no you can't.

To build on that specific action modifiers can only be used for basic action. I.e. Melee for strike can't be used for charge or focused strike.
