0 Todd
One player deploys all their models, then the other player deploys theirs.

0 Toonook
On the topic of deployment, does anyone else find the diagonal set up kinda annoying to work out unless you actually mark your playing table?

See, I know that, I READ that, but everyone where I play seems to think it's the other way, and I'm trying to figure out where they got that idea. 0 Mr. Bigglesworth
Probably another skirmish game. I think infinity, hell dorado and/or dystopian wars deploys that way. 0 Cadilon
On the topic of deployment, does anyone else find the diagonal set up kinda annoying to work out unless you actually mark your playing table? I do. On a 3'x3' table we figured you come in along the edge of the table about 18" from the corner. Its a heck of a lot easier than trying to find the diagonal center line and then measuring 12.5" out from that.
0 Bruglyother
If you do the math, it's more like 18.5 inches from each deployment corner. But 18 works well enough.

I'll start using that. I was too lazy to do the maths.
0 Fading Memory
no its 13 inches from the corner not 18 inches. Remember the diagonal from corner to corner is going to be longer than the edge. A² + B² = C² 36² + 36² = C² 2592 = C² √2592 = √C² 50.911 = C Now subtract the 2 12.5 inches from the center (or 25 inches) 50.911 – 25 = 25.911 or approximately 26 Divide that in half for equal deployment zones and its 13 inches from the corner for diagonal deployment 26/2 =
0 Cadilon
I am not as good at the maths. More of a word person myself. But I just sketched it out to scale, and its 18.5" on a 36" board. EDIT: Ahhh, I see what you did. And you are correct. Its 13" if you are measuring a perpendicular to the hypotenuse of the deployment zone from the corner. We are measuring from the corner along the legs, which is 18.5". Because the whole point is that the hypotenuse is difficult to find on a board full of terrain. Edited January 13, 2012 by Cadilon
0 Kadeton
For a more mathematically accurate measurement, it's just over 18.3".
0 Cadilon
So 18 5/16" sounds close to the magic number. Thanks.

Probably from other systems like others have said. Maybe because the game uses alternating activation? Have you shown them this? I don't see how anyone could read that and think otherwise.
