Malifaux Events during Wizard World Comic Convention New Orleans, January 28-29, 2012

January 28 & 29, 2012 the city of New Orleans opens the doors of the Ernest N. Morial Convention center to the Wizard World Comic Convention .

Aside from the loads of Special guests and of course the tons of comic books available, the following Wyrd specific events are being offered in the Table Top Gaming Area:

Saturday January 28, 2012

1. 10 am to 6:30 pm Malifaux Demos
   • This is a free event.
     
   • This event can accommodate up to four players at a time, with plenty of room for on lookers.
     
   • All models and necessary gaming materials will be provided.
     
   • Demos are intended to last approximately 15 minutes and will introduce the basic game mechanics. (Longer demos may be available based on crowds)

[*]10 am to 6:30 pm Puppet Wars Demos

• This is a free event.
  
• This event can accommodate up to four players at a time, with plenty of room for on lookers.
  
• All models and necessary gaming materials will be provided.
  
• Demos are intended to last approximately 15 minutes and will introduce the basic game mechanics. (Longer demos may be available based on crowds)

[*]1pm to 5pm Malifaux Story Event: Naughty or Nice Christmas!

• This event can accommodate up to 20 players.
  
• This event will cost 3 event tickets.
  
• Players will utilize a Single Master and 30 Soul Stone crew as they battle thru the three Story encounters.
  
• This will be a Domination format event.
  
• Models are not required to be painted for consideration of any prize except the Best Painted prize (which requires a fully Painted Crew worth 30 Soul Stones with all models having been played during the Tournament).
  
• The prizes available for this event are (prize support provided by Go4Games):
  • 1st Place: Snow Storm Trophy
    
  • 2nd Place: Lucious and the Governor's Proxy Trophy
    
  • 3rd Place: Copy Cat Killer Trophy
    
  • Best Sportsman: Teddy Trophy
    
  • Last Place: Lantern Rouge Student of Conflict trophy
    
  • Best Painted: Current Limited Edition Wyrd Miniature (Miss Deamenor, Puppet Wars Pokey Vik & Puppet Wars Hooded Rider)

Just three weeks until the Convention.

Less than 2 weeks till the con and decided to add a few more items to the Best Painted prize for the Story Encounters tournament.

In addition to Miss Demanor, they will also recieve a Puppet Wars Pokey Vik and Puppet Wars Hooded Rider.

Also for those that may have missed out during Gencon and the Black Friday Sale, Go4games will have a Limited Edition Nightmare Teddy and Dead Justice box available for purchase during the Convention as well.

Hey so if i don't go to the con where do i get the tickets for the tourny?

Glad you asked (was going to make an announcement about this tonight).

The Minihall is free for entry. You may come in and game or participate in an exhibition game or demo for free. There are a plethora of events going on throughout the day and night (the hall doesn't close until 10:00pm). If you want to participate in an event that requires the generic tickets (such as the story encounters), they will be available for purchase in the mini hall.

As an additional benefit anyone purchasing generic tickets for an event in the minihall may also purchase a ticket for the Main convention hall for the low price of $10.00.

I would like to thank everyone that came out for the Mini Gaming events during the Con(especially the demo teams). The Convention was a blast and we are looking to expand things a bit more next year (so mark your calendars).
