Cornelious1424
So I used a Dead Doxy last night for the first time, and I must say, I got my 5ss worth. I was using Seamus against a Colette crew who was using the standard 2 Corryphee. Managed to cast Inviting approach on the Duet, come within 4", cast Seduction which always gets the Fatal Distraction Trigger. I then had 2 actions left to smash the Corryphee. Due to Seduction, I was able to land hits on the Duet with a few Punk Zombies later in the turn to finish it off! The :-fate to defense and resist duels is insane, especially on a model that always has on defense flips. I know its 1 game and 1 (well 2) model, but I pretty much shut it down with my 5ss Doxy. We never got to finish the game, the local store was closing for the night.
Gensuke626
Interesting. I thought the Dead Doxy looked pretty good with that Seduction...but I didn't think it was Coryphee smashing good... More tests need to be had. More Tests...yes... Bigkid
Sounds good. They seem a godsend to Seamus's weak summoning ability. Will have to give them a go.
Atherzon
If the Dead Doxy casts Seduction as part of the Inviting Approach action, does she have the +2 and Tome to her Ca during the casting? If not, you are going to need a 7 of Tomes to pull off the Seduction. If so, wow, she is good.
Fetid Strumpet
You only get the + casting and the extra suit when casting inviting approach.
Atherzon
You only get the + casting and the extra suit when casting inviting approach. That's what I thought. Seduction is strong, but a little difficult to pull off.
Cornelious1424
5Ca is average, and the average Wp is 5. A good card in your hand should do it. And the first cast of Seduction is free anyway!!!
KatsandRice
I have to say, the Doxy is just phenomenal. You just made me want my second one (since I have Dead Justice) even more so I can pull the never dying trick with them. :3 Thanks for the quick report on them. Fetid Strumpet
Really? What am I not seeing in the potential of Final Encore? It to me is the Doxy's least interesting ability. It is an interesting ability, and sure the option is nice to have, but I can't really see how useful it is as saving the Doxy will cause one of your other Belles to be severely weakened. Sure, if you have a Belle in range at exactly 2 wounds it is decent, but what do you see in it that makes it so exciting?
Mach_5
Its pretty sweet that she can't be killed while there's a belle with 2+ Wd left close by. Its a wasted attack by your opponent if they try to kill her, and if the opponent tries to ignore her then its to your benefit as well.
Fetid Strumpet
I get that part, but you are weakening one of your belle's remaining wounds by half. Its not a wasted attack, it is an attack that reduces a different belles wounds by half, and thus might even be considered more successful if it does more wounds than were being taken from the "killed" Doxy. Aside from a situation where there is a belle in range at 2 wounds I just don't see the effectiveness of Finale Encore.
KatsandRice
The main use I'm getting out of it is saving Doxy for more shenanigans, since Seamus getting more Belle's is an utter pain since I save my high raven cards for Bete's One With the Night. I just feel that Doxy is a bit more efficient, even if I'm putting wounds on Belle's (which are pretty durable, in my opinion), and I should take advantage of the ability to keep her alive longer. When I run a test game or two coming up with my Dead Justice I'll get a better look at it.
Sliver Chocobo
She is good, although dead doxy seducing Coryphee duet sound like the start of some dodgy fan fic
Bigkid
Swapping places with a Belle also has the potential of getting a Rotten Belle or even Sybelle (she has a bit of regen...) into melee with an enemy with full actions remaining (thinking Sybelle's 'Flurry'....). Situational but has potential.

The fact that 2 Dead Doxy's can form one hell of a tarpit (made more frustrating by the fact that virtually all the resurectionist Masters and a few minions can easily bring them back once they are finally killed). Fetid Strumpet
You're models must be far more resilient than mine then. I like the Doxy, don't get me wrong, but even my Rotten Belles go down in about 3-4 hits to most of my opponents from full wounds. The Doxy goes down even faster. Sybelle often doesn't last very long either if she is in melee without the Grave Spirit attached. I'll just have to take your word for it and wait for reports from the field to come in on the utility of Final Encore. Myself, I see using it in maybe 1 out of 7-9 games. KatsandRice
Probably. D: I tend to shove Belle's in the front and watch people flail at them miserably... and watch my opponents shove models into Sybelle to down her. I might just have incredible luck too. lol. I need to document a game or two sometime. Once I run her, I'll hunt down this thread and bog it down with Doxy info.
Soundwave
A good use of final encore could to either save an unactivated doxy and swap in an already activated belle, or in the case of an activated doxy, swap in something unactivated to cause a ruckus for the model that tried to kill said doxy. It could mean the difference between tying up a model in melee or not.
Omenbringer
...since Seamus getting more Belle's is an utter pain since I save my high raven cards for Bete's One With the Night. Why would you need a High :crows for Bete to use this, she can pull it off with any card 10 or higher?
Mr. Bigglesworth
Keep in mind doxy also adds a ranged gun which is really helpful to resser. Granted low cb but more guns means more board control and options.
Fetid Strumpet
6" range though on the derringer. Short range and low CB. I really only ever use the derringer if I cast Seduction and I'm out of range for a Fancy Cane strike.
Mr. Bigglesworth
I know it is a weak option but in a crew that lacks range damage it is something.
Murphy'sLawyer
Well the Crooligans do also bring a 3" AOE of obscuring so that too is an added bonus against shooty crews. But I will appreciate another range model, even more so with Molly and the Doxy giving everyone to their defences.
