rawhead
Hi folks, i've read through the rules and everything seems pretty straight forward except scrounging on an unoccupied workbench. Scrounging states that you can attach an upgrade from the scrapheap of the controlling player of the workbench - but an unoccupied workbench has no controller ? Ratty
I'm pretty sure you can't scrounge. No-one has their scrap there to scrounge from..
rawhead
That's what i thought, but then the definition of the Scrounge action specifically references unocupied benches : Scrounge (Special): Rg: Self. Effect: A Puppet may only use this Action if it is adjacent to an unoccupied Work Bench or on a Work Bench controlled by any player.
karn987
Unoccupied Work Bench refers to the game term meaning... there is no Puppet on that space, ie it is unoccupied. Unoccupied Spaces: Any Space which does not contain a Puppet or an Impassable Token. Unoccupied Spaces may be moved onto, and they do not block Line of Sight. You can use Scrounge on a WB controlled by a player with an empty Scrap Heap... you just don't get any Upgrades to attach. Work Benches are claimed using the Mine! Action and they remain that players WB untill it is claimed by someone else, the player is defeated, or something other effect removes their control of it. As for Scourge it's self: A Puppet may only use this Action if it is adjacent to an unoccupied Work Bench or on a Work Bench controlled by any player. The underlined part is the important part (and what I added). In either case (On or adjacent) the WB in question has to be controlled by a player. Hopefully that clears it up, keep asking if it doesn't! Edited July 22, 2011 by karn987
