The stolen..

ZiggyQubert

Question

Just started playing Hamlin the Plagued, and had a question about the stolen, basicly when they die 3 things happen -

- Horribal Realization When this model is killed or sacrificed ... model that killed / sacrificed must win a wp -> 13 dule or be paralized

- Inevitable Fate When this model is killed or sacrificed ... summons a rat into base contact before it is removed from play

- No Humanity When this model is killed or sacrificed ... -2 wp to everyone within 6"

simplified the text a bit as I dident want to type it all out

what order do these happen in? Not sure if there is something that states it ad it can make a difference

looked atound the forums and dident see anything on it..

Any clairification would be welcome.

thanks

Well.

The generic useless answer would be "They happen at the same time."

But allow me to go in depth slightly for a more reasonable order.

Inevitable Fate states "Before it is removed from play" so that happens first regardless.

And then No Humanity states that it generates a :pulse which cannot happen from a model that is not present, so that has to also happen before The Stolen is removed from play.

And then Horrible Realization states that When this model is Killed or Sacked by a Non-Soulless model, that model must win a Wp->13 duel or receive Paralyzed.

So the Order of Operations I would go with based on those rules is

Step 1.) Generate a Malifaux Rat in base contact with The Stolen as per Inevitable Fate.

Step 2.) Generate a :pulse 6 of -2 Wp as per No Humanity.

Step 3.) Remove The Stolen from play.

Step 4.) If The Stolen was killed by a Non-Soulless model, that model must win a Wp->13 duel or receive Paralyzed.

If that is the case it also means that the rat recieves -2 wp (not realy a big deal) but as pointed out the order of the -2 wp and the paralized test is important.

There is also the question of should no humanity happen before inevitable fate because it is an imideate effect (asuming here that pulses are imeadiate effects)
