edonil
Yeah. It's focused a lot on the techniques and such. One of the things he's talked about that I hadn't ever thought of is the learning curve needed to figure out the setting. Something that I never really figured out, honestly. Check battle college for synergies and strategies.
Mister Monkey
Eh, I will just make it up as I go along...... go seven games over two days Sounds like an interesting lecture.

edonil
There should be links to the others. Admittedly, that one primarily has info in the last fifteen minutes or so related to the topic, lol. When's the visit?
SteamHammer
They arrive tomorrow night and stay for about a week. So no painting for a while.

SteamHammer
Finished that Pratchett Dodger book, turned out to be quite good in the end. Onto some historical fantasy about Genghis Khan.
edonil
Oh, neat. Glad to hear you liked the Pratchett book. I'm about to start Elantris, at which point I'll be all caught up on the Cosmere stuff. Warbreaker was interesting, although really quite different from Sanderson's usual story types. Still fairly awesome, though.
SteamHammer
I think I read that one on his website. Different but good and another interesting magic system.
SteamHammer
I managed to paint a gamin at the weekend but haven't taken a photo of it yet. But I'm pleased with how it came out.
edonil
Oh? How'd you go about it?
SteamHammer
Used that matt varnish as you'd suggested then did some thin white glazes over parts. So it works as a whitish blue gamin in poor lighting but still allows the light to shine through it when back lit which looks really cool.
