Eccleston just came across as a bit schizophrenic in that episode... I can get insisting that it dies. I get that. But how gleeful he was about taunting it, about wanting to harm it seemed out of character. I more meant brilliant writing for the Dalek, lol. If you think about it Ed, the doctor was actually reacting much the way any soldier with PTSD would if confronted with an armed enemy they'd been fighting for a long time. And the time war was that.
