edonil
What're you planting this year? Good logic...honestly, given that reasoning, I might as well start at the middle-end of the snowball fight...the fight itself isn't as important as the character blurbs building after it. ---------- Post added at 04:36 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:33 AM ---------- And workday is done...be back in about 30. SteamHammer
Tomorrow will be putting in potatoes, swede and radishes. Throughout the year if everything grows I should also have lettuce, carrots, parsnips, beetroot, onions, leeks and rocket. But I've not tried those last two before so I don't know how they'll do. bowchikawowers
My dad tried to grow potatoes none of them were any bigger than a quarter. Is there a trick to them?
SteamHammer
Must just be the soil as I haven't a clue what I'm doing and they've turned out great for a couple of years now.
bowchikawowers
Huh what kind of soil do you have?
SteamHammer
No idea. Peat or clay based. Getting way too technical when you get into soil types. I'm not a gardener, just someone with a garden.

SteamHammer
Best thing is keep trying. Next time some you've bought for eating go rooty just stick them in the ground and see what happens. If green leaves appear above the ground then cover them up with earth until the mound is maybe a foot high. After that you can let the leaves come out. If you see a potato above the ground the cover it with earth so it doesn't go green and poisonous.

SteamHammer
Honestly have no idea. Where mine are mean they don't get direct sunlight until the afternoon so it might work.

Mister Shine
I've read it? Basically there's a lot of "partner swapping" and if you don't like it Shakespeare tells you to F Off at the end. Shinenotes > Sparknotes
bowchikawowers
Ah. I see... Nope don't get it. But that's my normal response to Shakespeare.
