Von Schill is awesome

What? WHAT!? How is he awesome? Ffs, please explain to me what am I missing. :D Seriously, I realize his Legend to Live Up To is absolutely amazing. He is durable for sure, with The Shirt Comes Off, Survivalist and a Libby. I Pay Better is absolutely ridiculous upgrade, seriously, it is.

Hannah is great, a superb model. Strongarm is really good too. Librarian is really good. Freikorpsmen are quite okay as well. Trappers are really good. Specialist is kinda a waste of points as he is so slow and too easily tied down and completely neutered. But then we get to Von Schill. He is really bad at Melee. Finish the Cur is good. He isn't a very good shooter compared to other shooters and he isn't seriously a master level in melee in no way. So what is he supposed to do? Well walk around and hope Entourage comes up.

*hugs*

Broner time.

Some questions.

Why didn't you get to play Hannah? On that turn when you only had low cards in your hand, did you stone for extra cards? And why did your opponent rage quit?

Because she was deemed too good. :D I did, I got a 1 and a 2. My opponent rage quit because the board was super sparse and he brought a gunline Lucius to the table and I brought two Trappers with I Pay Better. It was a shoot out I won. First activation of the game was my Trapper taking down a Rifleman. Then my Opponent took his whole force and ran to the other side of the table in a forest and remained there for the entire 3 turns before he quit.

Use him to kill weaker models faster while the rest of the crew focuses on the heavy hitters. He makes a decent mobile assassin, and being able to declare Charges while engaged is huge. I wouldn't pit him against Lilith or Misaki or anyone who is pure beatstick, but pair him with someone like Johan or Hans, and you can really do serious damage while keeping VS on the move.

Hm. I see your point there but that requires Hannah to actually have some force to focus on the heavy hitters. I don't think that it's a big selling point of VS that he can go toe to toe with the cheapest scheme runners. :D

Great stuff CJ. In my experience VS is a schemer and brawler. Schemer in the sense that he can, as CJ said, go after mid-level opponents and hunt down scheme runners. Brawler in the sense that he is very hard to get into the ground. He is really good at tying up a bunch of models, taking some hits, heal up and causing havoc while showing his manly abs.

Not that he can go toe to toe with them. With ease he can disrupt or destroy all running on whole flank, and then just jump to somewhere else.

So she was deemed too good, then you got stomped in a game where your opponent used a strong cheap henchman of their own...

Too bad that the board was sparse. Throw away game. The only thing you can do is to have a gentlemen's' agreement that neither will shoot the other to pieces with a gunline. With that out of the window, you did good.

Nah I don't like the plastic Teddy all that much. And I have a spare head from the Nightmare Teddy that I want to use. So I thought I'd put that head on the metal one.

Know anyone who'd be willing to part with a metal one for a reasonable price?

That's true. There he can't even moderate me.

The one who shall not be named.

Well, look on the bright side: What is the Malifaux group called? A Wyrd place? It's a new attack angle against Aaron's sanity....

Its a pretty good group!

Morning Dirial.

Do you guys use Facebook? I am required by a organization I joined in to start one which I wouldn't prefer but thought I might make some use out of it.

I do, since forever. If I didn't had start an account back in the day I wouldn't do it now. Its a strange place indeed. I like the news flow though, from following different sites and papers.

I am the only one who is very interested in what that "organization" is? x)
