docbungle
Hi all I have just picked up a Seamus crew and I am not sure how I want to base them (materials and theme). So what have people been doing? I need inspiration :fing02: Cheers
Dark Alleycat
I went with the victorian streets,it seems to be quite popular.
daemonkin
Unfortunately I also went with the Victorian theme for all my Guild and my Seamus crew. Unfortunate because once you start you have to continue with the theme otherwise it isn't a theme! Bloody expensive bases! D.
osoi
I went for a graveyard
Absolution Black
I went for a graveyard Fantastic minis! And the bases really do help to set off the painting! Graveyard works well for Seamus IMO, better than the Victorian streets. But both look good when done well!
AvatarForm
Just continue with your theme... perhaps victorian streets, but unkempt foliage and undergrowth to tie in with your Graveyard... perhaps the footpath in front of the graveyard? Sezar
I went for a different approach, that is to show them on Madamme Sybelle's former Saloon, where Seamus hired all his beautiful ladies of the night. This is the blog I made while I was painting them: http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15144 And here you can see a picture of the whole Band I took a few days ago on a local tournament:
Breadcrab
I recommended these.
Omenbringer
I do so enjoy these... I will second the Victorian Bases and street lamps. Though a bit more expensive it is nice to be able to not have to really think about them (and achieve consistancy in basing without any hassel). I would recommend picking a few colors (tans, browns, grays, and greens) for the cobbles though (it makes them look a bit more realistic). jmp_mydog
I like the dragon forge cobblestone base personally. They give a nice downtown theme and are plain enough to not detract from the mini. While I like the Wyrd victorian bases, the ivy feels weird to me, I like vegitation to look like like if I add it to a base.
