Arquin
Does anyone know how to paint them to give them that sheer look? I imagine you start with black and shad up to some combo with flesh, but I am not sure what. Thanks!
Stern
On mine i base coated them in tallarn flesh, and shaded them down with 2 thin coats of badab black then i highlighted back up to tallarn flesh using a mix of badab black with tallarn flesh... it worked well for me

TheOneWhoFell
i would even just use Tollaran (sp) flesh on the legs and something like elf flesh on the arms, torso, and face. This will give the impression of stockings. I also like very fine tip markers to draw in things like fishnet or lines up the back of the stockings ('40's pinup style). waferthinninja
I basecoated in black mixed with Tallarn Flesh, then added more Tallarn Flesh for the highlights, then a little more (the closer to pure flesh you go, the more "sheer" the tights will look). Keep it all quite watered down and build it up gradually. Colette finished by waferthinninja, on Flickr
yetischool
I used a similar technique on the sword Vicki with great success, but I mixed the flesh tone with codex grey and then gave it a very thinned down wash with half and half babad black and devlin mud
osoi
I ahve used the Vallejo colours Black Grey and Red Beige mixed together then increasing the amount of Red Beige in the mix.
Bioshock13
I've found the BADAB BLACK from Games-Workshop works great over flesh tones for stockings.
pixelante
Well the black wash wasn't working for me so I mixed it with some dark brown giving me a very dark brown and I've highlighted that with a Bestial(medium) Brown and I am pleased with the result.
