kbdrand
Just finished a new water feature terrain piece for my miniature games. Glue isn't quite dry on a few of the bushes, so there are still a few white spots, but overall I think it turned out well. This was my first attempt at doing any kind of waterfall with running water. Close up of the water feature. I took these photos with my iPhone, so the quality isn't the best. I can't wait to play with this terrain piece. Omenbringer
Very nice piece of terrain, especially considering it is your first water piece. What did you use for the actual water fall? For your next piece think about including some "easter eggs" in the water. It makes the piece both more interesting and realistic.
kbdrand
Yeah. I have added fish and other stuff in water features before, but didn't want to spend the time this time. The board for that terrain feature had been sitting in my office for like 6 months and I finally decided to just get it done. I have used green stuff for the fish in the past, and it was kind of a pain. I guess I need to look and see if I can buy some small fish models to add in. I used Liquitex gloss super heavy gel (mixing medium) for the waterfall. Just painted it on and then painted some white areas to give it that rushing water look. Alondir
very very awsome, he water looks really nice, the only improvement i could think of is add more flock colours in there to make it look more natural A+ please proceed to the top of the class
kbdrand
Yeah, I agree. Different flock colors would make it look more natural. But, for most of my games we use a GW mat for the base and I used that flock to match the GW mat.
