These are “cool points” for cinematic moments in the game. • Black Joker Tokens – players can award their Black Joker Token to another player who has particularly bad luck during the game. These are the “Wow, your luck sucks” moments during the game. • Players are not required to award their tokens, but do not get credit for their own token at the end of the game. • Crew Construction: o Fixed 25 soul stone list for all games o Only 1 master present on a table at a time • Terrain o The organizers will set boards and Terrain. • Special Rule #1 – Icy Conditions o The polar ice fields are slippery! At the end of movement each model will determine the direction of movement (based on the last inch the model moved) and then flip a card from their deck. This card will determine the control against slipping the model has.• Black Joker – model pushes 3 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line (the direction of movement) and has fallen over, receiving slow next turn • Weak – model pushes 3 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line (the direction of movement) • Moderate – model pushes 2 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line (the direction of movement) • Severe – model pushes 1 inch (not affected by terrain) in a straight line (the direction of movement) • Red Joker – Powerslide – model pushes up to its charge (not affected by terrain) in a straight line (the direction of movement) o Fliers have particular problems with momentum. Any model with flying doubles the movements listed above except when flipping the Red Joker. o Floating gracefully – any model that floats is not affected by the Icy Conditions o Models with “Frozen Heart” and “Scout” have a for this rule • Special Rule #2 – Wind Gusts o The polar ice fields are buffeted by wind, with a constant wind blowing across the fields. Wind can be brutal to creatures who float • Starting with turn 1, each player around the table flips a card during the “End Closing Phase”. During the next turn, the wind blows from the direction of the player with the highest card flipped. • Models with “float” must flip a card at the beginning of their activation. These models are immediately moved in the direction of the wind in the following manner.• Black Joker – model pushes 3 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line and is disoriented, receiving slow next turn • Weak – model pushes 3 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line • Moderate – model pushes 2 inches (not affected by terrain) in a straight line • Severe – model pushes 1 inch (not affected by terrain) in a straight line • Red Joker – Model is unaffected o Models with “Frozen Heart” and “Scout” have a for this rule • Special Rule #3 – December is Watching o Whenever the Black Joker is flipped during a duel, all models on the board must make a WP->10 resist flip or receive “Slow” • Special Rule #4 – Winter Poker Hand o The board will be set-up with 5 distinct objective markers.• A master model may spec 1ap to activate an objective marker to receive a playing card from the game deck. • Each objective must be activated an equal number of times prior to an objective being activated an additional time. (each objective must be activated 1 time prior to a second activation. Twice prior to a third activation. Etc.) • Players may only hold a maximum of 5 cards in their hand. Discarded cards will be shuffled back into the game deck. Rules packet can be downloaded here.
nilus
Interesting idea, I might have to borrow that for an event Just an FYI inclusion in your packet. Maybe put the standard Poker hand rank table. Not everyone knows what beats what and I know people that have been flat out wrong on it(I debated with a guy for almost an hour once that a flush beats a straight)
