Fielding Shikome in a Non-Kirai Crew

I've decided to sell my Kirai crew, I just can't get the hang of them and decided to stick to zombies instead of spirits.

However, I still really like the idea of the Shikome (doesn't hurt that they're nails in-game too ) but I've only ever used them with Kirai.

Has anyone used them with any of the other Ressers? They'll still hit like a sack full of spiky bricks but being spirits means no corpses when they eventually snuff it and their lack of the "undead" trait means they're not affected by a lot of our abilities. So are they still worth their hefty price tag?

I'd say no. In my experience the Shikome needs some support, otherwise it ends up chasing is prey till it gets ambushed and killed by another model. And the standard resser models simply can't keep up (spirit + nimble + flight = insanity). Not using that mobility means you're wasting the model.

2 shikome however... but that's just too expensive.

I think it strongly depends on the crew you pick.

They are very fast but become hugly focused on one model. If you can support the Shikome with your crew this isn't a huge problem, but if you can't then they aren't worth it as they'll eb run around the board and into bad situations.

So a slow Nicodem list isn't going to want them, but they may fit well into Seamus with his belles being quite quick and also able to use lure to re-arrange the board as you want.

They might also work with a canine remains rush in giving your opponent a hoard with one or two very stong fighters in.

Personally I've looked at them for Marcus, where he can support the speed well, and think they will be very useful in certain lists but not all.

Well, he doesn't work with Nicodem, but Seamus can keep up well, doesn't need the corpses. Shiko might be a good support unit, especially if you're using mollywobbles to make your belles fast.

Also, think about how easier it will be to catch prey if you lure the poor bastards into the shikome....

well seamus is pry thre only one who supports shikome as he can give a wp duct wich make shikome hit alot more often. also luring your prey means you can single them out and not wrry about getting ganged up on. also it gives seamus something to help him truck peoples as he wont be doing it all himself.
