Vash Axis
I killed a Ice Golem with Levi's Necrotic Unmaking hoping to get a SPA out of it. The Ice Golem "shatters" and then is removed from play. The SPA is summoned to the Golem befor it is removed. Will the Shatter ability get the SPA or does the SPA come to the battlefield after the shatter?
dakrulz55
no because active model has to resolve effects first and cause they happen at the same time you put your guy to get blasted by the ice golem. its better to just unatural wasting so you get 2 scrap counters
gunpowder saint
actually if you use Entropic Transformation he's sacrificed that way he doesn't explode. You still get a SPA too
tenabrae
He (golem/gamin/whatever)shatters when he's killed, the SPA appears before he's removed from play. This would be after he's killed and shattered. If you argued it the other way, the Ice Golem would not shatter at all (the SPA would be placed then the Golem removed from play, then it tries to shatter but can't because it doesn't exist anymore). Cambeul
Isnt the wording for things like this something like: a) when model A is killed, this happens when a model is killed, Place Model B in base to base contact with said model So does it not make sense that the only reason you place the SPA in base to base contact with the Ice Golem before it shatters is for placement purposes? So I guess I am agreeing with tenabrae's first point.
dakrulz55
both effects are generated at the same time (both happening when the model dies) so active player summons a spa to base with the model. then non active players ability resolves wich is shatter, hitting the spa. ice golem - (aura)2 dg3 when this model is killed necrotic unmaking - 1wd to levi. 3wd to target. if target is killed summon one SPA to base before target is removed. I think you may have highlighted the wrong bit of text though. The timing part of the ability is 'before target is removed'. The bit you highlighted is only the condition that needs to be met, ie the model is being removed by killing, not sacrificing or burying. It means you can't get a SPA off a Seishin as it sacrifices when it hits 0Wds. ice golem - (aura)2 dg3 when this model is killed necrotic unmaking - 1wd to levi. 3wd to target. if target is killedsummon one SPA to base before target is removed.
