ninjahamster
Right - well I started painting my showgirls today - managed to paint 3 doves, and a performer/mannequin - i'm quite pleased at how they've come out - especially the mannequin - the showgirl is a bit dark - maybe I should have lightened up her dress a bit. Decided to try a performer first before attempting Colette or the Corphee comments and criticsm welcome sorry for the crap pics - they were taken with my phone
Werecat
Where did you get the dove models?
ninjahamster
The doves are wedding cake decorations, painted up, they're a little on the large size, but on the plus side they were £1.50 for 10 of them
ninjahamster
For those in the UK I got them from here: http://www.cakesforallukshop.com/www.cakesforallukshop.coms/info.php?p=0&pno=0&pid=943257&cat=&ack=9&search=dove&sought=

Werecat
Yeah, I meant to ask about that too... How did you do the playing cards?
mattraptor
cant see much detail but I love the playing cards on the bases.
ninjahamster
The playing cards are just strips of paper cut up with dots painted on them and a sepia wash to darken them up a bit. Thanks for the comments guys
Svenn
Nice job! I really like the bases.

ninjahamster
The bases are textured plasticard cut (badly) into circles, the cards are just bits of paper cut up. Right - so I finally finished these girls and got some photos uploaded, so here you go - for anyone interested The Lovely Colette: Cassandra: The showgirls themselves: Some proxy Doves: The coryphee: That join together to make a Duet: Some hired help: And a converted Kaeris:
LoboStele
Looking good dude! I love the paint color choices. No offense to those who try to mimic the studio models, but I like seeing people take their own ideas for the color schemes. And the empty soda cans under the Gunslinger are hilarious. rudders
Great job and again the bases look good. I have painted GW stuff for a year or two and never done much with bases - seeing the work on here is making me step up my game a bit and I like how your bases have a nice little touch that really makes them interesting! WarmasterOJB
Great job. Absolutely love the bases. The idea with the playing cards is stolen. So simple but absolute great effect! Thank you for posting.
