Thanks to all who were involved in the organization of the tournament, it was fantastic, and a great chance to play with the other players in the area.

thanks to the guys who came what must have been 'a million miles' to join us.

all in all a great day and looking forward to the next one.

A really enjoyable and friendly tournament, and well worth the 2 hour drive.

having tried out a number of different crews recently I reverted back to Lady J due to a migraine limiting my limited brain capacity. To sopport her was the Governor's Proxy, Peacekeeper, 2 Austringers and 4 DMs.

First game. Only got in 3 turns due to slow start and too much chatting and helping each other out! 2-2 draw vs Nicodem. Lots of kills including Killjoy & Flesh Golem :).

Second Game. My opponent took the Viktorias plus the Friekorps box. Lots of killing on both sides, despite some appalling hands (one having a 4 as the highest card). All went down to the last turn where I turned a potential 8-0 loss into a 6-6 draw by killing Von Schill by hitting him with 3 Raptor strikes.

Third game. Was struggling from turn 2 after Lilith had used a Mature Nephilim to get to the treasure in turn 1 and then dash off with it. managed to wipe out most of the her crew and chased off after her, keeping some figures back to get Recon. The LJ v L duel went to Lilith and we ended with a 8-8 draw.

See you at Salute?, but definitely in September.

Thank you all for a great tournement, a good day with lots of Fun.

Thanks for those who organised it, and those who travelled down to play.

Friekorps with assistance from Victorias, using Von Schill, the specialist, the Libraian and two trappers. Felt fragile as I played it but mobile and with the ability to answer most threats.

Game one vs Seamus involved lots of death. The Victorias got heavily involved in killing belles left right and centre until they both died, but the real turning point was Von schill red jokering the damage flip on Seamus, leaving him on one wound, then calling up a flamethrower strike until he burnt to death. Ended up a 8-0 win, but the game was much closer than the score suggests.

Game 2 was against Clousseau, and was a bloodbath with the peacekepper charging in on my trappers, the victorias killing him, Justice killing gun Victoria, before the combined friekorps finished her off, and the death marshalls discovering how hard the librarian can be when Slow to die, saving herself from death three times and then healing up Von Shill for his rush into the opponents deployment and into close combat with one of his two austringers who had killed off the remaining victoria. I lost initiative, to watch the one in combat make a quick retreat and with Deliver orders was pecked to death before I could do anything, allowing them to half achieve Recoinottre, get raid and get hold out, which cost me thwart. Very tense, and probably the most important initative flip I've seen in pure VPs. 6-6 ratehr than 8-0, but to be honest with the hands he had been playing, he deserved every point he got.

And Finally against a Lady Justice crew I've learnt to loath.

Nino and Santiago, Samuel hopkins, 2 death marshalls and an Austringer. (Oh how I regret suggesting the Austringer instead of a third death marshal on the way up) With him getting slaughter and me getting destroy the evidence it was goign to be tricky having to advance into his fire. I put the two trappers out wide and sent Victoria with a gun over there, letting the others try to hold up his advance. Things started well when I managed to take out Samuel early on before he had a chance to master kill. Unfortunatly that ended up with Justice and the executioner charging into Von schill and the sword wielding Victoria. If they could have lasted a little longer my flanking maouveor mignt have got to two of the markers and destoyed his fire base, but I just couldn't weather the damage. Von Schill ran off to destroy an evidence marker on his last wound before going down to a hail of fire having alredy used all the soulstone to live earlier. The flanking force managed to get one of the two remaining evidence markers before the guild force turned on them, and Victoria, rather than pushing on, sacrificed the two trappers for stones and tried to get away. Unfortunatly when you're trying to get away from the shooting of Nino and an Austringer, you have little chance and there is nowhere to hide. I managed 6 vps thanks to gather soulstone and hold out (he brought everyone back to make sure he could get Victoria out of his deployment zone for his own hold out), but he ended with a perfect 8.

Three close games against enjoyable opponents, certain a great way to spend the day.

now i have some extended time in front of the computer i thought i would give my break down.

I went with the aforementioned Lady J crew, Scales, Nino, Santiago, Executioner, Samuel, witchling stalker and, thanks to Adran, an Austringer. (you misremembered a few things Adran).

Game 1 vs Kirai. After my opponent flipped slaughter, twice, for his strategy, with treasurer hunt, it looked like i was on to a winner. The game lasted 3 turns, not helped by the presence of Jack Daw in the middle of every model giving evey one negative flips, before i was given the game. Ending in a 9-0 win.

Game 2 vs Victorias. Turn 1 was nondescript with both of us getting in to position. Turn 2 saw a little more action with some wounds being lost on both sides, though the loss of misaki at this stage probably hurt a bit. Turn 3 was more of a blood bath as i lost my witchling to a tirade of ronin (giving him his grudge), and my opponnent lost some ronin, a convict gunslinger and a Vic. From now it was down hill all the way, i managed to remove his crew by turn 5 and had enough movement to get to my claim jump and stake claim. 8-2 win

Game 3 vs Victorias/Von schill (Adran). When this match up came we both groaned, having played the same game before and having both helped each other maximise potential the night before. I really wish i hadn't lent him my spare trapper for the day, it is hard enough to deal with 1 mobile long range gun let alone 2. With Slaughter as a strategy it favoured my game style and ment that Raid was a must.

As always turn 1 was jockeying for the right position to get the perfect strike in turn 2. Though on my part this was for naught as i lost the initiative and lost Samuel before he had a turn of shooting. this did however allow my combat monsters to lay in to von schill, using up most of my SS to keep Lady J smacking him with onslaught, using up most of his SS to keep him alive. i had decided to a Vic and 2 trappers stay on my flank, keeping them at bay with an austringer and nino, while the rest shot up a specialist and librarian. Turn 3 saw the loss of von schill with a snipe to the head, my executioner, Sword Vic. turn 4 i lost my witchling who was guarding the last evidence counter, so i decided to camp a few people by the last token and then shoot the last Vic till she left my deployment zone. 8-6 win woo hoo.

thanks once again and hope to see you all next time.
