Not only that, its the first one ever held so buy your ticket ASAP to guarentee a place This is being held on Saturday 20th November As well as the tournament, I am running it as an Open Day where a few of us will be running demo games through the day of Malifaux, branching out into other games systems in the evening as a bit of a social thing. So if you can, make sure you can stick about in the evening for takeaways and drinks * £5.00 entry for Prizes and Awards * Story/Scenarios will be decided in a few weeks, be prepared for a few surprises, schemes and trickery! * We would like it to be a friendly tournament, being competitive is fine but spare a thought for anyone just starting out. We want EVERYONE to enjoy the game! Tickets are only a fiver, you cant get better then that! We've already had lots of interest, so get as many as your friends interested as you can. Neverata Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 3, 2010 Hi there, We are initially saying 30 SS for a 2 and a half hour game, VPs and 2 set schemes that you are given randomly on the day to keep the random spirit of Malifaux alive and get new players as well as veterans on even footing for this tournament. Master must be decided and submitted a week before along with 15 SS worth of your crew (base crew) this can include a max of 4SS. The other 15 ss worth of army can be changed throughout the course of the day to give a bit of flexibility. But you will be able to get a discounted stay at the Pine Lodge in Mansfield if you mention the tourney. As the entrance is only a fiver you're responsible for food and drinks through the day. Hi, After playtesting, 2 and a half hours was the best time and i'll tell you a few reasons why. Hopefully you'll be able to understand the method to my madness! With the random events that are popping up and schemes, it takes up to two hours to play the scenarios i have made for the tourney. The extra half hour is for the players who are a little slower and need a little bit more guidance. Not everyone can win a game in an hour and a half. If in the unlikely event that they finish early, i have created two bonus games that are played at the end of the day for bonus points. If the time runs over we'll only play one, if we have enough time we play both. Its the first tourney up here with so many people, and we will only learn by doing. Its a shame you're not travelling, we have some lovely guys coming up to us from Somerset and some from London. They have also all requested at least 2 hours a game, so its also by public choice that this is like this Hope this gives you a bit of an insight to whats going on. Hope to see you at the next one! But people will only be allowed to proxy one unreleased model. Its only fair to people who wont have the time or ability to do anymore that one. I am capping it at 48 or 52 so best get in there fast as ive sold nearly 10 tickets this week and the numbers are rising.
