Had an awesome time! Jo did a great job herding cats* and getting everything running smoothly:bounce:

Deadly Doug did me proud! I had three great games against Ophelia (Andrea Davies), Lilith (Stu White) and Collette (Rob Owens). Out of the three I'd only faced Lilith previously so I got to face a bunch of new stuff which was very cool.

The last game against Rob was an eye opener and no mistake! Rob is a very good player & Collette and her chorus line are awesome, I love their game mechanics! Job very well done Wyrd, it felt like my shambling dead were being danced around and couldn't lay a finger on them... I couldn't stop laughing the whole game, they were wonderful!

In the last turn of the game I started it being in control of the scenario objective (a chest) back in my deployment zone, the girls were all just outside their own deployment zone. Rob won the initiative and the next thing I know the whole damn chorus line activated, took the chest off my poor little Necropunk and had it back over the centreline heading towards their own deployment zone in a jiffy! What the hell?!?

It all came down to my last activation the game when McMourning had to get in there and do it for himself, flinging a bunch of scalpels in Cassandra's face (bagging me my Grudge scheme!) and picking up the chest to win the game when the card flip showed there wouldn't be a turn seven... But wait! The show must go on! I had to flip again and breathed a huge sigh of relief when the curtain stayed down!

That was my favourite game of the day, better even than killing Lilith in turn one with a Chihuahua! (Sorry Stu, couldn't resist! Yes I did sleep well last night )

*That'd make a great Arcanist miniature for Marcus' crew - "Jo, Catherder"

Glad you enjoyed the game, Rich - it was my favourite of the day too - I didn't win the game, but what the hell, I had such a good time losing I bought the McMourning box set today on the strength of it (got a :drewin there too :fest06::fest30:).

Many thanks to Jo for a great day - for a first time event with lots of pressure (UKGT!) it ran very smoothly. :congrats::star:

Any idea when we'll see the full results?

Cheers,

Rob

Hi All

The full scores and excel spreadsheet will hopefully be available in about an hour when one of my amazing Player Refs hosts and posts it for me. Thanks James!

Congratulations to Outkasts as they placed first second and third! Pictures will be available any day now when my Ginger Ninja returns some to me :D

Playing these were Craig Johnson (1st), Rob Hallam (WTF! 2nd) and Alex Pegley (3rd). Well done guys (i get the credit for Alex and Robs' win as their Malifaux Mentor lol)

Congrats to Ade Waine, Andrea Davies and Rich Baker for the three most amazingly painted crews. Well Done Ade for a deserved win on that front

Nat Sibley was most sporting, and placed 5th. To get such a high placing and be such a good sport is very impressive for someone so young! Well done! Hope you can make it to Februarys!

An extra well done to Mitch Harrison, Adam Nasibitt and Craig Johnson for getting the bonus of 1000 points for all schemes completed Successfully!

Best Crew Names:

BEST CREW NAME IN THE WORLD - Chris Walker - Team your Mum has got a Magical Extension

BEST CREW NAME OUTKASTS - Gav Fry - Three Eyed Piiigs

BEST CREW NAME NEVERBORN - Stu White - Ginger Blood be deadly fool!

BEST CREW NAME ARCANISTS - James Doxey - Its not just my arm thats Mechanical

BEST CREW NAME RESURRECTIONISTS - Rich Baker - Dr Dougs Mourning Surgery

Epic Win Award - Rob Hallam - Played 4 Games of Malifaux and missed every Malifaux Practice to play Fantasy and still came second.

First Black Joker Flipped - Andrea Davies

First Red Joker Flipped - Craig Johnson

Spoon - Jez Kwong

Best Submitted Strategy - Stu White

There were various Raffle Prizes Raffled off so congratulations to those people too!

I really enjoyed organsing this and know i will be seeing a lot of the same faces in February! Don't forget to buy your tickets

Thanks for all your support, and most of all thanks to Mitch Harrison for taking the week of work just to be my Bitch! Thanks to all the player refs for turning up and being so reliable and thanks to all my play testers. I'll see you guys again in a months time when i do it all over again!

Cheers
