beowulfthehunter
i just won the McMourning boxed set in a local event. I know I am going to need to add ot them, I will not opt out models, so what should I add to them, to make them more playable. I also want to scale up to 30/35 range. DireTrollJake
Hounds are a must but they aren't released, so you may consider investing in a proxy of some sort. In addition, Necropunks are good, cheap rockets to go with the Nurses (3 SS would be the most I'd spend to let something die following) Also, if you don't have Punk Zombies, they are our faction's bread and butter. geistwald
My way of McM crew development based on my limited experience: 25 points: McM | Sebastian | Nurse | Gunslinger | 2-3 Canine Remains | Chihuahua 30 points: add Punk Zombie 35 points: add 2 Punk Zombies I think these lists are pretty straightforward and reliable vs most opponents, while they are fun to play. Ashkettle
You also need to make sure to have at least 2 flesh constructs and an extra half dozen or so Canine Remains set aside. McM will build those for sure during the game.
Runewolf
Lots of K9's, Undead Chihuahua, Necropunks, an extra flesh construct and Bete Noir. She makes the table soooo much fun.
Raintar
I've been trying to get into McMourning but when I look at the units for the Resurrectionists I just kinda sigh. This thread gave me pretty decent insight so I've kinda figured out what I want to do. I'm going to test a 30SS list that is McM, 2 Nurses and 6 Necropunks, and a Chihuahua tonight anybody have any thoughts on a list like this? 8 units at 30SS is pretty good IMO for strategies and schemes. Ashkettle
2 nurses are probably overkill. Trade one nurse for 2 K9s. Turn one K9 at the start of the game into a Flesh Golem (see the threads posted on this board as to how).
DireTrollJake
If my only models are 5+ pts, there's no way I'd take a nurse. Why would I wana let something like that die? With a CB 7 and paired, along with average speed, they don't need her.
Ashkettle
Godspeed, He's taking Necropunks, not Punk Zombies. At 3 pts, I'd consider using them as a nurse missile. Personally, I wouldn't consider it too hard. The puppies seem ripe for me since they are easily made on the fly for that purpose. I'd NEVER consider using the Punk Zombies for something like that...that's just silly.
Mandoryan
I just ran McM with a grave spirit today and I have to say it worked well. He seems nigh unstoppable with armor 2, hard to wound, and healing in melée. Next time I'm going to try the lil'mexi-dog but for some reaon I just see him as a one point flesh construct instead of a two point flesh construct. Ashkettle
See, I see the little puppy as a K9 factory.
DireTrollJake
@Mandoryan, the spirit can't link to a living model.
Raintar
Yeah, so I tested the list and wow does McMourning kill SOOO much. I couldn't tell how well the rest of the list fared but I changed it from 6 Necropunks to 4 Necropunks and 3 Canine Remains, with two nurses you need alot of ammo . Mandoryan
I must have missed that. Well screw him then, lil'mexi-dog is getting promoted to the majors. And I had such high hopes of a seamus with armor 2.
ork56
could Nico use his 'Embrace Death' ability to link to a grave spirit?

DireTrollJake
could Nico use his 'Embrace Death' ability to link to a grave spirit? Yes. Sybelle is my usual target for the Grave spirit.
lbd
I used Punk Zombies for the first time last night and they were awesome! Paired Katanas at combat 7 is sweet. I did have one that only had 1 wound left, so I hit him with stimulant and painkellers to make him combat 11 unkillable. The effects were a bit overkill The Zombie Chihuahua is a must. Get the stick is great, kept me with plenty of parts. My only problem is not having enough extra models for Monsterous Creation. A second Flesh Construct waiting in the wings is a definite must. I tried Bete Noire for the first time, but that was a bit much also learning Punk Zombies. I couldn't remember her rules and didn't get much use out of her. Sadly she died from Black Blood before I got to do much with her. And I didn't have the card for One with the Night. *Mental note: Learn one new mini at a time! The Chihuaua is quite nice. First turn I usually use Sebastion to make 2 counters then grab the stick twice. Second turn, Make 2 more, grab one, sac self, Monstrous Creation turn 2 without using Stones for body parts. As far as Bete goes, not a huge fan. I own here, and see her uses, but her damage output is not not high enough for a 9 pt model with 4 wounds. Yeh she can come back, but that burns a high card. She is fun and has her uses, for sure, but right now, not my flavour of the month I guess.
ork56
Used this crew to good effect last night McM Chiauaua 1 Seb 6 Canine 2 3 Necropunks 9 Convict Gunslinger 6 Zombie 5 3 body parts with McM 29ss leaving 4 stones on McM in a 30pt game Managed to create 3 Flesh Constructs in 6 turns - deadly Wiped the floor with RedChapel Crew + 2 zombies, but we got some rules wrong on Wp and Constructs, so maybe not so powerful, but still a step up from my usual efforts with Nico. Chucklemonkey
Just got the McMourning starter set and was wondering what people were using to represent dogs, if at all? Any good alternate miniatures out there at the moment?
ork56
commonly used are the 'Bag O'Zombies' Dogs. 100 plastic zombie dogs, which is def more than enough. see pics in my gallery for how they look.
