FireSoCold Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 So I played my first game of Malifaux tonight and boy did I get spanked! I borrowed a starter box of Rasputina and I was up against a starter box of Justice. My loss came from a series of bad decisions on my part and the strategies that were pulled really didn’t work to my favor. Rasputina was on a treasure hunt and Justice was gunning to assassinate ‘Tina. The game ended in turn 5, 7VPs to zero. My heart is set on the Arcanists, but I think I really need my own selection of models to hire crews from. Playing starter box matches is okay I guess, but I’d NEVER run ‘Tina with her golem and gamin in a treasure hunt strategy. I plan on picking up Marcus and some molemen this weekend…maybe a second sabertooth as well. Rasputina’s box set is just too inflexible for my play style…and I need to pay more attention to what my opponent’s figures are capable of. paperbag4 Posted November 19, 2009 Report Share Posted November 19, 2009 I'm a big fan of the Sabertooth in my 'Tina builds, usually with Gaiman to cast my spells through as well.
