sjostrand Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 Rasputina vs Lilith vs Lady Justice vs Seamus 45p each: Rasputina, 3 Gamins, 1 Golem, 1 Sabertooth, 2 Hoarcat Prides, 1 Acolyte (Slaughter: The Guild, Sabotage & Eye for an Eye: Neverborn) Lilith, 6 Terror Tots, 1 Young Nephilim, 1 Mature Nephilim, 1 Hooded Rider (Treasure Hunt, Stake the claim & Kidnap: Rasputina) Lady Justice, Judge, 3 Death Marshals, 4 Guild Guards, Hans (Treasure Hunt, Raid: Resurectionists & Bodyguard: LJ) Seamus, Sybelle, 6 Rotten Belles, 1 Nurse, Sebastian, 2 Caine Corpes (Treasure Hunt, Bodyguard: Seamus & Army of the Dead: The Guard) Rasputina's story When Rasputina heard of Lady Justice expedition to the wilderness she decided to show her who's in charge in the wilderness. She wouldn't just blow their camp up, she would beat them all down so they would leave her alone in the future. She was suprised to hear from her acolyte that the area was crawling with nephilims. It was not going to interfer with her main corse of action, but she was convinced that they would hold their ground to Liliths brood. The acolyte was scouting the area were the nephelimes was seen and the tiger was sent forward to assist her hidden friend. The cats were sent out on their own in the other direction and Rasputina advanced together with her constructs. The acolyte have been ordered to stay still, but when he saw a mature nephilim carrying Lilith land in front of him, then he couldn't resist to try a shot at her. She had no problem to dodge the shot and instead of being killed she charged the acolyte and easily killed him in front of the tiger. The tiger attacked with all of it's heads, but didn't even scratch Lilith. Lilith in return killed the poor kitten. Rasputina saw what have happend in front of her, but before she could attack Lilith with her spells a bunch of Nephilims in all sizes were coming running towards her. One little Tot even grew as it advanced toward her. It was a fierce fight. Her constructs did a good work, but they couldn't stop Lilith from entering combat with Rasputina. She defended herself as good as she could, but even with to Ice Gamins with her in the fight against Lilith, she was beaten down. Her cats was suprised to meet two rotten belles lurking in the temple ruin, but the killed them non the less. It didn't help much, one of the pride was hit by a mighty shoot made by a large coulorful hat from the otherside of a wall. Before the remaining cats could do anything about it, a strange magical force made them disappear and reappear together with two ice gamins. VP: 0+0+0=0 Lilith's story As soon as she heard about the old artifact she knew she wanted it. And it should be right beside that old hill that was hers. Now was a good time to reclaim it. Her favourite old nephilim flew her to the old ruin. When they landed one of Rasputinas acolytes was trying to shoot her, and that reminded her of that she wanted to talk to Rasputina. So the best thing to do must be to kill her minions. That would get her attention. Said and done, she ordered the mature nephilim and the hooded rider to anvance to the guild guards who they have spotted further away. She leaped forward and killed the acolyte and his pet tiger without any problem. Just a few smaller nephilims followed her towards Rasputina. She felt very proud as one of her small tots grew besides her. They attacked Rasputina and her Ice constructs, but they were to many so she called for back up and the mature nephilim came and began a battle with the ice golem. Lilith herself engaged Rasputina and even though Rasputina fought well, she was not of much problem to Lilith. But the shattering of ice was starting to hurt. She was severelly wounded and she was under attack from two ice gamins. She easilly dodged their attacks, but was affraid that she would have died if they shattered. Further away she saw a pride of Hoarcats, and she decided to switch places with them. When she had escaped with Rasputina unconcious in her bag, she created a forrest behind her so she wouldn't be bothered with Rasputinas crew any more. On the other flank the hooded rider killed Hans and three of the four guardsmen, but they have managed to kill the rest of the nephilims. He was now alone in what have been the guilds camp. Lilith had escaped Rasputinas crew, and she still had two young nephilims and one mature with her. She stand outside the ruin and saw the left overs of a battle. But she was to late. The artifact was gone. VP: 0+0+2=2 Lady Jusice's story She knew that Seamus was going to find the artifact in the ruin, so she decided it would be a good time to both get the artifact and make a raid at the reserectionists. She wasn't supprised that she saw some nephilim closing in on the ruin. But she didn't want to be disturbed when she was going to deal with Seamus. That's why she brought the guardsmen and the mercenary, Hans. They should take care of any outsiders while she and her crew took care of Seamus and the harlots. Hans was a little scared. He wanted to do a good job when he was workig for the guild, but Lady Justice and her marshalls took all the resources for themself. So now it was up to him to stop the charging demons. He was probably little to eager to do a good job since he didn't manage to get the right amunition. But at least he hit a small tot with his first shot. And the guardsmen killed it. It was looking good, the mature nephilim must have been scared, because he fly away in the other direction. Smiling and reloading for the next shot he didn't even notice the darkness that came over him and chopped his head off. After that everything fell appart for the guards. But they fought as good as they could and took a few nephlims with them. When the last guardsman run away toward the marshalls the mysterious rider had killed all his friends. Lady Justice advanced with her marshalls, they saw a rotten belle return from the ruin entrance with the artifact and decided to attack the Red Chapel Gang instead of going to the ruin. Lady Justice easilly killed two allready dead dogs on her way forward. Then the real combat begun between the rotten belles and Judge and his Marshalls. One marshall fell and a lot of belles. Lady Justice advanced up on a hill and saw the whole gang. The belle who had been in the ruin handed over the artifact to Seamus who was hiding behind all of his dead girlfriends. She stood over the battlefield and casting her spell Restore Natural Order twice to see the belles crumble to dust. Seamus sidekick Sybelle tried to attack LJ, but LJ easy defended herself and almost killed the undead woman. But Seamus had the head and he left his dead girls and run when Lilith and a couple of nephilims arrived. VP: 0+2+2=4 Seamus' story As soon as he heard of the artifact he decided to go and get it. He secretly hoped that LJ would be there, so he again could show her that he's better than her. He was again very pleased with how quick his girl would work. When they first saw the Guild advancing, his girl had allready been collecting the artifact. He used the other belles to make a screen for her. The Marshalls was closing in quick, and on the other side of the ruin a couple of stray cats attacked the belles. Since he didn't want a two front war, he shoot a couple of cats to get rid of them. When the marshalls closed in his belle had allready given him the artifact and he told the belles to kill them. It was a close fight, but when LJ appeared on top of a hill and cast a spell the belles was starting to crumble. The Marshalls was tearing the belles down. Sybelle charged LJ, but LJ defended herself and let Sybelle taste her own medicine while she continued to cast har spell. All the undead crumbled to dust and when Lilith appeared at the scene, Seamus decided it was time to leave with the nurse and Sebastian. Talking of Sebastian, he found som body parts, but spend almost the rest of the battle trying to figure out how to build dogs with his parts... VP: 4+2+0=6 My story Okej. Now it's time for some reflections. First out a reflection regarding all the crews exept Seamus': It really hard to turn things around when you don't have any healing availible. When you play 25ss you almost allways have control cards to do one thing you really want. But on 45ss, you can also do one thing you want... Which meens a lot of your models will fail. Very frustrating. First crew, Rasputina. The Sabertooth was really, really fast. And I guess it's really good in combat, unless it's against Lilith... The Acolyte didn't do much, but if you charged by Lilith, it's not much to do (exept to die). The rest of the crew did as they should. Shatter and black blood can do a lot of damage if a lot of models are involved in close combat. Rasputina did the best she could I think. Lilith was so fast that she could run around the defence line. She didn't try to disengage, but I don't if it's been worth trying. Lilith's crew. She is a mean little melee expert, with a lot of funny things to do besides close combat. She used Earthquake, Illusionary Forest and Transposition during the game. Very funny. Her nephilims are good att dealing damage, but when they start taking damage, they start falling. LJ's crew. A good combat crew, but not so much fun things besides killing... But killing is what you should do, so... They basicly did what they should. I still wonder if it should have been better to attack for two turns with LJ instead of casting Restore Natural Order twice (damaging 4-6 rotten belles+sybelle both times). Seamus' crew. Seamus is really indestructible! He didn't get much damage this time, but in his last battle he was down on one wound, end after the next turn (two activations) was he as new again. His belles move raelly quick when they are around him. But I havn't had much luck with Lure. Mayby bad luck, but it don't work for me. The Nurse and Sebastian wasn't very useful, but thats because noone knew how to use them. All their spell casting failed because the control card was used elsewhere (making Sybelle resist Restore Natural Order and Seamus stuff...). And the neverborn looked very much like winter guards, man-o-wars and khador Jacks... I really like this game. The scenarios and schemes makes it a very intresting for multiplayer games. I've thought that Malifaux would be interesting in multi-player games just because everyone would be working on different strategies & schemes at the same time. I love the idea of the chaos! In this game Lilith could have been considered the winner since she wiped out Rasputina and killed the whole front against the Guild.
